    We are a small *********************** that was shut down due to the Covid impact. We are now trying to open up our summer camps. Therefore we were in the process of hiring new staff members and hired a few people in Mass. We paid $71.86 to have one Mac Book Pro and 2 Chrome books sent to the new employees at 2:22pm on 1/17/23 with an expected delivery date of 1/23/23. On or about 1/25/23 we called to track our package and were notified that *** was having a difficult time tracking the package. After numerous calls to the UPS store and *** corporate we were notified that the issue was being turned over to the investigation department. After 5 weeks of the investigation process we were notified that the items were determined to be lost or stolen and reimbursement would be provided for the items. As instructed, we went out and bought replacements and continued to call *** regarding the reimbursement process for the lost items. This went on for an extended period of time with ***. Eventually they offered to pay half of the cost to replace the items. I responded that they were responsible for the entire cost, as well as the $71.86 delivery charge. This process went back and forth for another couple of weeks with them telling me that the matter was being investigated. We then unexpectedly received the package 9 weeks after their expected delivery date. This is after we were told to replace the items and would be reimbursed by ***. Now when I call *** they tell me that the issue needs to be addressed with the franchisee owner (*** ?). Never in my life have I experienced anything like what I have been dealing with. The franchisee owner completely refuses to take any calls from me, or respond to the numerous e-mails regarding the status of resolution to the situation. Our small company trying to start back up is now out almost 2K. If they fulfilled the service they were paid for, this issue would never have happened. The owner not returning calls should be illegal.
