First time customer, I brought in 4******************, and 1 vest to Door to Door cleaners, checked **** reviews, mistakenly didn't check reviews for all 12 locations, or BBB complaints. On 1/22/22 I handed clerk my neatly folded garments, asked her to handle with care, stating "they are like new, barely worn and expensive". I waited while she processed my garments; inspecting them, tagging & bagging them. No concerns mentioned! On 1/26/22 I went back to pick up my clothes, asked to inspect them, clerk said, "you don't have to inspect them, we already double & triple checked them". Once home & unwrapped, it was revealed four garments were damaged. Badly ********* **** excessive ******* & the vest shrunk. I left a phone message I needed a call back ASAP. Received a call next day from Yosr turned into argument said she'd call back never did. I sent email 1/26/22 directly to owner, ***** ***** detailing the damage to my clothes. Owner never returned any calls I left directly for him or messages I left for him ****** at ****** store. Owner never responded to my email asking for resolution. I returned to store 1/28/22 with all damaged garments hoping for resolution. Owner did not show up, met with **** woman that hung up on me. She examined all garments, acknowledged they were stretched out and pilling, yet refused compensation; she insisted on confiscating garments for owner, stating, "I want to review video footage of when you dropped them off. (I stated:) "I waited while all cashmere & vest were tagged & no note/mention of concern. Not comfortable handing over garments, after other customer complaints of same nature with owner not returning clothes, some cases holding clothes ransom during disputes similar to mine. Yosr refused a refund so we asked to call the owner. She put the owner on ******** and he said (I quote) ****** the ***** *** and get the ***** out of my store before I call the ******** Retail cost at time of purchase $******* Seeking Reimbursement for: $854.26
