      Business response

      09/19/2023

      Good Afternoon ****** ****** & *****,
As we are now, we have been very quick to respond to your messages, during and post-stay. I was the 3rd person you communicated with when you brought your concerns to us. We are still unclear about the issue, as the picture you sent and uploaded now is an empty room, lights on, from the walled and secured backyard. However, whatever you feel you experienced, we full-heartedly apologized then and again for as we always strive for positive guest experiences at the homes we manage. With that said, we were not able to offer you a full refund of your stay, or money back. Furthermore, over multiple communications, you began threatening litigation we felt you were no longer communicating in good faith. And I did mention how you chose to proceed would be at your discretion, that it would be unfortunate, but that we would not base decisions or be held hostage by threats of litigation. After your multiple threats of legal action I did mention that the Homeowner was one of the premier Lawyer in **********, but not as a threat but simply to share that we would be prepared. Im sorry you feel you and your party had a negative experience, However, it does in my opinion seem like this was an attempt to extort us into refunding you your entire stay as that is what you demanded. While we do empathize with you we will not allow threats of any kind to dictate our decisions. If you wish to take that course of action and feel you have a strong evidence-based case, then that would be at your discretion, and within your right in free democracy. Either way, we wish you and your guests all the best, apologize for the issue you feel you experienced, and thank you for sharing your concerns. - ********************************* @ Oasis Rentals.

      Customer response

      09/20/2023

I am rejecting this response because: While we were at the house, we attempted to contact Oasis Rentals and where unsuccessful in reaching someone. It was not until 3 days after our stay that I spoke to *********** as the two prior people I had spoken to could not do anything and had to have *********** reach out. I expressed my regrets about the house curtains being see through as it was an invasion or privacy and *********** stated he was apologetic but could not do any thing about it and had to relay the message to the owner. I was a bit confused as we rented the house from Oasis Rentals and not the owner and after going back and forth stating that having see through curtains and being able to see inside the room free and clear was not ok, went ahead and stated that I would be contacting a lawyer. I do not believe this to be threatening as I was just informing him of the next actions that would be taken as reaching some sort of compromise with him regarding our ruined stay was out of the question. I understand that no one is in the picture besides the clear view of the interior of the room, but I am a bit confused as why you would want pictures of the renters. Additionally, this was never a case of extortion but a clear complaint from a client regarding their ruined stay and trying to make some sort of resolution. Stating we want a full refund was made in an attempt to somehow get ************ attention to respond back to us as we had not received any sort of communication from him. This complaint with BBB is made to show that this company has extremely poor customer service and to warn other potential customers what might ensue if they plan on using Oasis Rentals.
