I applied for certificate for discount coupon from LA County animal control to fix kittens I adopted. They only offered a few places & this was the nearest to me. I dropped off my male & female at 8:30am. They were fixed by 9:30 (I received a text). I was told I could pick them up anytime before 11pm. When I arrived, I was told, heres the cone and pain pain meds. Give once a day for 3 days, heres their certificates to prove they are done. I went home, opened the cage, they wobbled out, still drugged. I noticed the male limped on his left hind leg. As I watched, I noticed it was more of a drag, then limp. Thought maybe drugs. Waited until the next morning and took him in to let them check his leg. They wanted to charge for X-rays and blood test. I told them he didnt limp until after here. I shouldnt have to pay. After arguing, they agreed to give him a shot of meloxicam and had me sign a paper stating I refused treatment. I have taken him to my regular vet & he said there might be nerve damage so weve started him on gabapentin. Havent gotten X-rays because of cost, but ******* its necessary if it doesnt improve
