I recently fell ill and was left disabled. I lost most of my motor skills and needed a caregiver to help me. We interviewed with *******, the owner. We were new to this process and was looking for a company that took In-Home Support Services. They told us that they would and that we would need to pay and full and get reimbursed since IHSS pays later. My mom agreed and placed it on her credit card because we really needed help with me and she would put it back once she was reimbursed. ******* then then told me to report to *****. ***** became my point of contact. ***** contacted me to submit review. She told me in writing that it took a few days after we submit for the funds to be deposited. We received our first reimbursement in October but just for one week. I thought that was off because we did a month worth of approvals at first. We got another reimbursement in November. We were then told now that they are checks and they take longer. Even though in the beginning it was a deposit. They then ended services with me claiming they didn't have any caregivers at the moment. ***** then asked me if i would like to keep submitting time sheets so she can give me the money. I didn't tell her no because i felt like it was a scam and we needed our reimbursement. I told her we would talk about it at a later time. We got another payment in December. We had to reach out multiple times to receive our next payments. Every time was a different excuse. I tried reaching out to the owner and she told me that i need to figure that our with *****. ***** even tried to put in timesheets for time not worked and I then told her i will not approve anything not worked. She asked if i was sure and I assured her i was very sure. Finally she hit us with the laziest excuse, The state took back the funds and she had to contact them to reissue the check. We received one last payment and then ***** never answered our texts after. We are still owed $****.

Business Response /* (1000, 26, 2022/09/13) */ I ********************* is no longer employeed with A Caring Place. The dispute with ******* ***** and myself was not related to A Caring Place or ******* ********. ******* ask for a favor and I helped her with care. Any money owed to her was sent to her via Zelle. Last payment was in the amount of $820. Kind Regards ***** Consumer Response /* (3000, 34, 2022/09/26) */ Please see invoices attached. These are just the invoice they haven't paid me back for. The other ones they paid. While it doesn't say a caring place the address is the same. Business Response /* (4000, 39, 2022/09/30) */ The invoice she produced is from N and C Home Services, not A Caring Place. There is no address on the invoice that indicates services were rendered by A Caring Place. I never met this young lady. The employee in question has not been working with A Caring Place over 3 months or more. If any arrangements were made with such former employee she must directly contact her to resolve the issue. Consumer Response /* (4200, 41, 2022/10/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This company is being very deceptive. I am convinced this is an ongoing scam they are conducting. If you look up the address of A Caring Place and N and C home services, they share the same address. I have text messages from both ***** and ******* proving that services were provided by them. I never asked for any favors. I asked if they provided a service and was told they did. I also have proof of text messages where ***** claimed she would send the rest of the money and never did. Please do not let this company take from other disabled people. This whole situation is unbelievable and I will be taking up for all the disabled people that can't speak up for themselves.
