On January 31, 2020 I had surgery at St Joseph Hospital for a port placement to get ready to start chemo treatment for Breast Cancer. I received no bill until 06/25/2021 for which was 1 year and 3 months later. I called Providence Medical Foundation, the bill was $******* I paid 100 per month and at the same time called this company for financial help. I printed from there website the paperwork and did all documents that was requested for asking this help. I mailed those documents and waited 3 months with no word on getting financial help. I called Providence again and asked about my application for financial help they stated they never received it even after I got the post card with there signature. Before I called Providence about the financial help I tossed that green card that came back with there signature. Then I requested the financial help papers again and waited while still paying the 100 per month. I stated to them that due to cancer I am on SSI and getting 699 per month and that payment is coming out of that check each month. I waited again for that paper to show up in the mail for I could not remember at that moment where I could get the papers online with chemo brain affecting me. Some days are good and some days are bad. I called again to Providence Medical Foundation and requested another financial help form and waited, that form finally was in my mail box and I got everything together and this time I faxed all that they needed. During this time I kept calling and asking and they stated that my application for financial help was approved without me know it and the bill reflecting is at the beginning from 06/25/2021 for 50% off I have not seen this adjustment on my bill and I keep calling them regarding my financial help. Now they have told me to resend for financial help and I asked to speak to there supervisor, I have not received any calls from them at all. During this time they have threatened collection while paying 100 per month.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2022/03/03) */ I just received a phone call from Providence regarding my bill it has been adjusted to owing 0 payment bill is paid off I no longer owe Providence.
