The problem is lack of means to contact Pathology Associates of S. CA. I received billing for services rendered that are eligible for and should be directed to my insurance provider. I just received a ******************************* Referral." I called the insurer. I was informed that no record exists of billing from Pathology Associates. However, billing did appear to be received from an affiliate/associated/client entity, "Kidney Consultants." I was promised that the insurer will investigate and determine if this claim was improperly processed, not received for processing, or other systemic flaw occurred. My purpose in filing this complaint is to prompt Pathology Associates to provide contact information in its billing statements.

My mother received a letter from Pathology Associates of S CA. She's really scared of random bills... and seeing bold red FINAL NOTICE she's calling everyone. She's never received any other bills from them so I don't understand how it's final notice in red and saying we have 10 days to pay. I checked online and it definitely didn't help with all the Reddit and forums saying it's a scam. So today my mom went to LA to ask her hospital, doctor, and also the billing department about this letter. I'm gonna have to call her insurance Alignment today... No one from the hospital or the billing department know why my mom is getting this bill, and they said it's weird since it doesn't say what procedures the bill was for.The letter itself also very vague... doesn't give much information no hospital, doctors, or what procedure it was for so that we can verify with insurance or whoever billed my mom. The only information on the letter was an account number, statement date, total charge was $1,900, total payments $297.57 -, Adjustments $1,528.04 -, Balance Due $74.39. I don't know if this is a legitimate company or what the bill was for, and why it's already final notice when we haven't received any bill before this?

      Hello,

We are Pathology Associates - ******.  I've searched our system and do not have this patient on file.  I noticed the attached billing statement is from Pathology Associates of S CA in ********, **.  This is out of our area and we are not affiliated with any other laboratory.  We respectfully request this complaint be forwarded to the correct provider of service.  Thank you.
