My husband and I had the worst experience dealing with IPIC on our wedding anniversary. We booked last minute tickets on a Saturday afternoon to see The Flash. We love going there for special occasions as it's always been a good time. We live in *********** and gave ourselves plenty of time to arrive as we have been to this theater many times. The traffic was backed up as soon as we approached the 210 frwy in ****** and remained that way the entire trip to Pasadena. It was a slow crawl and did not let up. We called IPIC 30 minutes prior to our movie time to inform them that we might be fifteen minutes late because of the heavy traffic. We were told that they had a very strict 20 minute policy and we would not be able to enter the theater not even one minute later. We explained that we were in unusually heavy traffic and could not guarantee that we would make it there by the deadline. We were basically told that if we were not there exactly at the time given then we would not be refunded or be able to reschedule for another day or time. We spoke to three different people, including the manager ************************* and they were completely insensitive, cold and unbothered. Our seats/booth was located in the back of the theater so we would not be disturbing anyone. Plus people get up to use the restroom all the time. We were told that it was because the servers stop taking food orders after the first 20 minutes to move to another theater. We replied that we didn't plan on ordering any food. They could care less and refused to allow us to enter if more than 20 minutes late. We realized that the freeway was just getting worse and turned around and headed back home.At the very least, we should have been able to rebook our tickets for another time.
