We recently bought a home in Templeton Ca. Our first summer here our AC went out. Home Warrantee assigned this contractor to come out and preform the repairs. It took them multiple attempts to repair the unit before they decided to replace it. Once replaced it worked fine for about 3 weeks, then it began blowing hot air into our home. They came out a few more times and confirmed some of their work had been leaking refrigerant gas into our home and they would repair the welds. They did that, but then told me they would have to come back during warmer weather to fill the unit. It is now middle of summer, and they are refusing to come fix their mistakes. We also had them repair our heater over the winter. It took them 4 months before they gave up. We have a baby in the home and had no heat other that that we could build a fire. I was able to figure out the problem myself after this contractor placed my family at risk, having installed the incorrect parts on our HVAC system, opening up my family to a catastrophic event had the unimaginable happen. The owner himself installed natural gas valves on my propane heater... I have requested the leave the work ticket open, which they agreed to, and now are stating I have to contact a new contractor to come fix their mistakes. I will also be filing a complaint with the Ca State Contractors Licensing Board.

Mr. O********* used his Home Warranty to repair his HVAC System.  All service calls will need to be directed to the Home Warranty Company and not the contractor.  Please have him contact the Home Warranty Company for any and all future repair warranty needs.

I am rejecting this response because although we have requested the home warranty to help try to resolve the poor work of Dobkins Home repair, we are still out a significant amount of money paid out of pocket to this contractor. We have paid them for work we believed to have been preformed, which was not, materials we believed to be installed that were not, in addition to the work they completed ultimately failed within weeks of completion. We are currently out of pocket 4 service fees ($310) and an out of pocket expense from Invoice 1565 totaling $1,120. I am requesting a reimbursement of $1,430 from Dobkins. All the work completed at my home was done with poor quality, placing my my family at risk, and in less than one year would require a full replacement.

      Regards,

      ******** O*********

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and your family. We value our customers and strive to do right for them. This agreement between us hopefully shows our yearning for good faith to resolve this issue. We accept the mutual agreement and identify the $1,120 reimbursement and the 4 service fees totaling $310 reimbursement as an agreeable final settlement of $1,430 relating to the work performed by Dobkins Home Repair. By signing or cashing the reimbursement, you agree to the terms of the final settlement of this claim.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am waiting for resolution from Home Warranty as well as Dobkins Home Repair. I plan on leaving this open until an actual resolution has been made. We recently bought a home in Templeton Ca.
