I purchased my 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV in the August of 2021. At that time there was no recalls on that years model of the ***** bolt, although there had been recalls regarding batteries catching fire and destroying cars with the past models. About 1-2 months after I purchased the car, I was notified of the new recall for the same issue, and given specific instructions on what I could and couldnt do with the car. There were many limitations that affected everything I could do with the car when it came to charging and storing the car. I was told I would be contacted for a new battery as soon as they became available for the 2022 year cars. I tried calling my local Chevrolet dealer and the direct Chevrolet EV concierge phone number. They both said they were going in order of oldest to newest and that I would be updated when they knew more information. They never once contacted me or updated me of anything and I continued to call for updates every so often over the course of a year and a half or so. This entire time I was never able to use the car the way I was supposed to when I bought it. I always had to watch and not overcharge the battery or store it in warm garages because I was told there was a risk of a fire. After all of this inconvenience, I was recently notified that I wouldnt be getting a new battery for my car because they say there isnt an issue with my car now. After almost two years owning the car and being extremely worried and inconvenienced the entire time, they completely disregarded how much they affected my life and my brand new car. I believe I am owed some sort of compensation whether it be a new battery that I was originally promised, or an MSRP swap for a model that already has a new battery.Initial Complaint

I went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle, when speaking with the sales associate and the finance representative I asked to see the invoice of the vehicle, both the sales associate and finance representative (*************************, *****************************) refused to let me see the invoice. I explained to them that by law when asked to see a vehicle invoice they must provide it. They responded by saying they do not have to show any invoice and that they have been denying this request to all their customers per the owners request. They are violating consumer laws by denying customers transparency to vehicle pricing, and they do this specially to Latino communities and minorities because unfortunately a lot of them do not know their rights. If this business wants to keep operating they should do so lawfully and without breaking Consumer Rights Laws. The sales associate and Financial Representatives do not get to make up their own laws to fraudulently sale vehicles and charge consumers pricing that are way below vehicle value.
