On 1-20-23 I went to the Metro Hotel web site in order to make reservations for 3-1 and 3-2-23. The hotel web site defaulted to Expedia/Tripadvisor web site where I made online reservations for 2 nights for a total of $430.50. On 3-1 we spent the night, but checked out 1 day early because I hurt my foot and could barely walk. The checkout receipt from the Metro Hotel cashier showed that I paid $355.09 (not the $430.50 I actually paid to their agent). Subsequently, I received an e-mail receipt from the Metro Hotel crediting me with $177.55 from the previous $355.09 on the checkout receipt (still no reflection of the $430.50 I actually paid). Subsequently, I have sent several e-mails to the Metro Hotel asking when I would see the credit on my **** card with no results. I have tried to contact Expedia/Tripadvisor with no results.It appears that Expedia/Tripadvisor has kept $252.96 of the $430.50 I original paid for 2 nights lodging at the Metro Hotel. I am unable to resolve this issue with Expedia/Tripadvisor and believe the Metro Hotel should be refunding my money as Expedia/Tripadvisor appeared to be acting as their booking agent. I also believe that there is something "usury" about the $252.96 Expedia/Tripadvisor is keeping for a reservation that the hotel charged $177.54 after the fact.I would like a refund of $252.96.
