Today, I went to get a pedicure with my children, and when the technician was doing mine, she used a took I hadnt had seen to take off the remaining gel polish from my previous one. In doing so, she ripped off a portion of my nail from the base, causing massive pain. She ignored it, and I told her to stop. I could not put my foot in the water again, as it hurt too badly, and no polish could be applied since it is against raw skin. She somehow said it was my fault for how my nails are, but in the 20 years Ive gotten regular pedicures, this has never been the case. She charged me $50.00, and I paid at the time, as to get my kids out so that they wouldnt be part of the confrontation. She asked I pay over Venmo as friends and not to include it was for a service, which I felt was questionable. I went back in a little later by myself to ask for a refund and she refused. I would like to file a formal complaint and so see if their hygiene and practices are current.
