I took my tv in to be repaired the backlights we're out. I put *** down deposit and paid the balance of **** when I picked my tv up. I took my tv in on September 5, 2021 and picked it up a few days later. The guy who fixed it said it had a three year warranty on the repair he had done. Three weeks later the backlights we're out again. I then called the shop and told the guy what happened and he told me to take it back in. He sounded a bit angry and bothered about the problem. I don't have transportation so each time a made a trip it cost me *** each way. The first time I went the guy and I were talking and I asked him where he learned to repair TV's and he said on his own. Well I thought I would be kind and not report it the first time it broke down, but not anymore I just want my money back so I can take it elsewhere since he isn't capable or qualified to do the job I paid him to do when I took my tv back the second time it took him a couple of weeks to return it to me he had said he had to order a part and is waiting on it. Now this morning when I attempted to turn my tv on it has the same problem with the backlights going out like I said I just want a refund I don't want to deal with him anymore. I just received this notice jan.17,2022 our building is under construction was not getting our mail,and i was out with Covid for the past three weeks, i do apologize.in regards to this complaint,we did not know there was a problem,she only brought it back (1)0ne time,and she got along very good with my technician,both from same place ************We and the whole world is having a problem with TV LED strips, Unfortunately we don't make the PARTS, they are coming and made out of *****, and there has been a problem with their guality,they make them for all manufacturers.We lose money because of this scenario,But we take care of our customers,on her Receipt she had a 30 day warranty, I will give you a copy,she picked up her TV on 9-8-2021 TV came back 10-5-2021 WE reordered new LED's fron ***** and installed them at No Charge, And if she would like to bring it back i would do the same thing for her even though she is out of warranty. First of all I was promised a three year warranty. I don't believe anything the person who responded said. If the led strip lights are defected from ***** then use an alternative. $180.00 is way to much money to pay ,as the tv is worth about three to four hundred dollars new. I feel as I've been taken advantage of and I just want my tv to work. I would rather take my tv to another shop to have it repaired properly and paid for by j and j tv repair. I have lost all trust in doing business with them. I feel if infact if it was done properly j and j will agree to my request. If you buy a brand new TV they only give you a 1 year, we gave her 30 day guarantee,Look on her receipt, i sent a copy,its not the work that went bad,its the PARTS that are going bad as I explain in my first response,there are no alternatives, no subs, ***** is the only manufacturer,but currently the LED strips we are getting today seem to be better.the price was fair,we gave her the estimate, she approved it, left a deposit, was happy with our work,but now blaming us, we don't make the parts,we install them, i can't control the quality of electronic's today,But i will offer again at no charge to her if she brings it in i will put a new set of LED's for her,and it should be good like i said the ones we're getting now we have had no problem. This has happen with all Brands all shops.
