We had a caregiver for 5 days before my mom passed. The caregiver ******************* managed to take the spare keys to the house, my moms ************** wedding band, and approx. $170 cash. She was the only one there at the time having access. We had to file a police report. The owner has done nothing. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD! Shame!!Business response

My apologies for the inconvenience, I tried to call you this evening. I found your email in my spam mail.
Until today, I was unaware ********************** posted a review on our BBB account.
At Emerald Caregiving, we take these accusations very seriously. Weve recently conducted an investigation on the same post she made on ******.
We were hired by Ms. ********** sister *************************** on April 24th, 2022 to care for her mother ******************************* for 4 hours a day. Our last day taking care of **************** was on May 12, 2022.
The first time I spoke with *********************************** was on May 23rd, 2022. Ms. ********* insisted on making *********************** responsible for the loss of the valuables without any proof to her claims. I let her know she should call the police and file a police report immediately.
It wasnt until May 31st that the ************** police department contacted us. They interviewed my employee *********************** and took her statement. After their investigation, they did not move forward with the case. The public case number is P22-769.
Our caregiver has been working with Emerald Caregiving clients for more than 5 years with a stellar record. The investigation on our end concluded Ms. *********s accusations were false.
Even though the police was involved she continued to make threats requesting compensation. Ms. ********* then proceeded to defame us with a negative review on our ****** page. We took this to our council and Ms. ********* recieved a call from our lawyer ***********************************, **************************************************. On Wednesday June 7, 2022 ********************** removed the review.
I am attaching the post she made on our ****** page. The review is no longer there.
I am happy to cooperate and work with you on getting this resolved. I just want to make sure a response is appropriate giving that our lawyers have communication with **********************. Please let me know how I should move forward.
