I stayed at the seacrest oceanfront hotel in pismo beach, ca.. I checked into room 228 on March 1, 2023 and checked out on March 3, 2023, leaving the property at 12pm. When I left the hotel room, I made sure to shut the door completely before I walked away. I went straight home and arrived at my house no later than 12:15-12:20pm. I began to unpack and realized my fiancés shorts were not packed up and inside the pocket of his shorts, was our rent money, a total of $1100 cash! I called the hotel and reported to Oscar at the front desk that we left shorts in our room with money in them and we would need to come pick them up immediately! He proceeded to put me on hold because he said he was going to go check for me. I was left on hold for about 5 minutes when someone else picked up and said they would have to call me back. I left my name & phone number with the lady that answered the phone while I was on hold and I was told I’d get a call back. Nobody ever returned my call. I had to go to work that same night so while I was at work, I called again and spoke with Erica and told her the entire situation and asked her if anything was turned in or found. She said she didn’t know about anything being reported. The following morning, I told my fiancé to go to the seacrest AGAIN to inquire about his shorts and cash being found and he was told that he would have to wait for a manager to arrive in order for him to speak with her. Around 8am I got a phone call from the manager at Seacrest named Heidi. She was concerned at why my fiancé decided to show up in person to ask about his shorts and money. She said she didn’t understand why he would just show up without calling about it first. She made me feel as if WE were the problem by being proactive in trying to retrieve OUR OWN MONEY AND PROPERTY! I requested a”lock integration report” so that we can see who entered the room after I left to get an idea about who may have found my property and $1100!! I was refused that option.
