I had 3 visits to Carbon Health Urgent care (10/26/2023, 12/14/2023, and 2/2024. I used my debit card for my co-pay. In March/2024, I discovered over $500 was taken out of my bank account from them. When I called the office they referred me to billing. When I called them, they said I had to pay because I signed the paperwork stating financial responsibility in the office. When I pressed the issue, explaining that I have two insurances (****** and ********* and that ****** authorizes patients to use the urgent care. They said they would rebill for the visits. When I called to follow up they wanted copies of my insurance which was originally provided to the urgent care. Then they said someone in their office noted that I refused to provide it. The urgent care won't see you without it. I believe they are engaging in unlawful/unethical billing. I don't even think they have billed my insurance since I have not received any EOB's from either of my insurance companies. Over 50 people in my community report the same happened to them. I would like for them to bill my insurance and refund my money. They should be sanctioned for their unlawful practices.
