On July 29, 2023, I asked a plumber from Murray Plumbing to give me an estimate and he said he could not or would not provide an estimate because the extent of the job was unknown. My expansive drained underground system of PVC pipes had suffered impacts from heavy trees falling on and from heavy vehicles traveling across and along some of the pipes. I wanted the pipes repaired. After two leaks showed up when I pumped a little water into the system the plumber dug down about four inches to the leaks. He then made a trip to the a hardware store to purchase two Flo ******* straight expansion repair couplings and installed those parts in an attempt to repair those two leaks. When I again pumped some water into the broken pipe system two more leaks appeared. Instead of making another trip to get more Flo ******* straight expansion repair couplings, he decided to redesign or revise the broken straight pipe to stop those two additional leaks by installing eight ninety degree elbows that he had in his truck. After installing those eight elbows he decided that spending about four hours attempting to stop four leaks he had done enough for the day and presented to me an invoice for an outrageous $2000 as required by his boss. I had him leave his work uncovered so that I could remove the unnecessary eight ninety degree elbows because the existing hundreds of yards of pipes in my underground pipe system already presents plenty of resistance to the flow of water. Because there is yet no way to pressure test the pipe, nobody yet knows whether any work done by Murray Plumbing stopped a leak, but those eight elbows obviously would have increased flow resistance. Murray Plumbing should refund to me both the outrageously excessive amount it charged and the amount it charged for revising rather than simply trying to repair the leaks in the straight pipe with Flo ******* straight expansion repair couplings.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The amount of the check I received from Murray Plumbing was not the amount that I had offered to accept, so we have not yet settled our differences.
