      Upon move out, I was charged for carpet cleaning and to replace drip pans, despite these being within normal wear and tear for living there for 3 years. I had requested a list for things to clean before move out, but was told there was not one. ****** responded to my request for proof of being above normal wear and tear with photos of the apartment, which coincide with normal wear and tear. There were no stains, tears, or rips. Carpet was vacuumed once a week. The drip pans were requested upon move in, but never provided. Since management has changed since then, the current management does not have the documentation. I have contacted the office for proof that this is above normal, and they cannot support this beyond stating basically that it just is. My lease does not include any cleaning requirements upon moving out. The price of the carpet cleaning is $95 and the drip pans are $25. The total amount beyond my deposit was $48.76.

      In the year IÂ’ve stayed at this property, the garage gate has been broken for weeks at a time, at least three times. The first time, my bike was stolen. Recently, a neighborÂ’s bike was stolen; another car had windows smashed inside the garage, and countless neighborÂ’s packages have disappeared. The building has been unlocked and unsecured for three weeks. Package carriers do not use the lockers, they leave them on the floor beside the front door, in full view for thieves. The property manager says they can do nothing more about it. Over the winter, the icy hallway to my building had no lights for four months. But the worst - I had an emergency at 5:00 on a Friday, before the office was closed. I left a voicemail that went unanswered. I left several emergency calls throughout the weekend. They finally showed up Monday morning, and the staffer said he had no access to email or voice mail all weekend. However, I learned later that a neighbor had contacted him about a water leak Saturday night and he had answered. The website advertises 24/7 maintenance which is vacant, bike racks which do not exist, and a secure package locker that sits there unused. They are raising the rent, but lowering their service. And beyond inaction, they now blatantly lied to me about having weekend access to emergency messages, as my neighborÂ’s leak got a response.
