Galaxy **************************** Conditioning charged $2248.00 for the installation of a new wall heater but withheld the required thermostat it needed to work. The job was for installation of the heater, lighting the pilot and testing it. This was a heater that they selected and brought to the job. They had to know they needed the thermostat to turn it on. In November 2021, when my property management company paid, I thought the heater was installed, working and tested. Later, in July 2024, the tenant reported that all this time she has been unable to turn the heater on, and that she did not know how to light the pilot. I immediately called PG&E to light the pilot. This is when I discovered that Galaxy had failed to complete the job and that my tenant has been without heat all this time..Today, my ******************* tried to get Galaxy Heating to schedule a date and time to return and install the thermostat. The owner of the company argued that the thermostat is no longer under warranty. (???) He quoted charges for a thermostat and installation. As stated, the company did not include a thermostat. In addition, they also did not take out a permit that would have insured they finish the job.Initial Complaint

Galaxy left my house after three days and managed to ruin my well functioning furnace in an attempt to install a heating pump. I have a child and have been without heat. The owner is not professional and continues to lie. He lies about the time to install (one day turned into three and my heat is now broken), he lied and tried to only replace some of my ducts after they suggested and estimated to replace all of them, he lied about staying on the job until the work was done. The list goes on. This company left me high and dry and now I need to contact Service Champions to fix this quagmire. Oh, they also cut out three giant sections of drywall and reinstalled my thermostat sideways. The owner left without saying goodbye because he didn't know what to do.
