My work truck was towed to this shop March 2021. They said it would take 1 month to fix when the month was up went to check on it and he had not even started on it. The truck was there 6 months paid almost $16,000. When I got the truck it broke down 3 times in 3 weeks the last time it would not even start he kept it another 4 months and always having excuses or never returning calls to get update. Finally after being frustrated because he was taking so long he had it towed to another shop, They fixed it but charged $1,200 when contacting Wilson's Transmission to see if they were going to take care of it he said would get back to me he never did. I paid the amount just so I could get my work truck back because I had been without my truck for almost a year and had already lost thousands of dollars and could barely provide for my family because I did not have awork truck. I would like to be refunded at least $6,000 to help with the recovery of a year lost of work.

I am rejecting this response because:

I lost a lot of business for them having my truck for so long. It was almost a year and the truck still doesn’t work right. He could have told me earlier on that he could not do the job but didn’t he kept it til he couldn’t work on it no more after I paid him in full.He failed to keep his word and contact when promised. Finally he had it towed to a friends shop to finish fixing it and I had to pay the additional $1,100 and asked him to pay at least half of it but he refused. Their computer has been returned to them.

Wilson’s Transmission Response to Consumer’s Rejection

This customer had his truck towed to Wilson's Transmission without an appointment.

We explained to him that we were not taking any more work in, because we were full.

We suggested that he call back at a later time and make an appointment.

Customer replied to Wilson's Transmission, that he had nowhere else to take the truck for repairs.
He stated that he searched other shops and they had referred him to Wilson's Transmission.

Wilson's Transmission explained to customer that we had at that time 15-20 trucks here.
Customer said that it didn't matter.
He couldn't use the truck like it was anyway. He would rather leave it
Wilson's Transmission replied, it will be a long wait, you see all the trucks I have here ahead of you.
      Customer replied, that's OK.

Then the customer asked Wilson's Transmission, when you do get to my truck, how long do you think it will take to do the work?
Wilson's Transmission replied, if I don't have too many interruptions, AND if there are not too many more things wrong with the truck, than what you are telling me without me inspecting it right now, I would say roughly a month.

Customer replied OK. Can I unload my truck off the tow truck and leave it here now? The tow truck will charge me to tow the truck back home. Wilson's Transmission replied, if that's what you want to do. .

Customer then brought up new issues.
He then said the truck has a starting problem also, as well as a dying problem. Can you fix that? Wilson's replied no. I do not work on diesel starting problems.
There is a local diesel performance mechanic shop, and we could call them, explain there is a diesel starting problem and engine dying on customer's truck.
      Customer replied OK.
Wilson's Transmission called the diesel shop. Explained there was a truck with a starting problem, could they work on it after we finish our repairs at Wilson's Transmission.
The diesel shop said yes, bring it over any time.
This was explained to the customer.
Customer said this would be OK.

The customer freely left his truck at Wilson's Transmission with no appointment or promising time frame.

      Work done at Wilson's
When we finished the repairs that the customer requested, we called the customer, asked him if he still wanted us to tow the truck to the diesel shop, so they could work on the starting problem, so we did.

The diesel shop called Wilson's Transmission. Said he had found the starting problem.
They confirmed that the starting problem
it was nothing to do with anything done at Wilson's Transmission.
