      On or about 5/20/24 i had my car towed to roscos tires and discused the scope of work to be done. I explaned that i thought it was the fuel filter and had replaced that and also a new few pump becaise the repair was hard to do with the tools i had i decided to remount the gas tank and inform them thay although new the fuel pump isnt seated or hooked up properly and the hose didnt seem to want to connect to the fuel pump also there were some other small issues on the fuel tank i could not fix and he said no problem i explained that i was tight on money having just m oved into area and i said i needed it running but not over a thousand dollars tops if its gonna be that much or over call me so i can decide if i can do that or not. He said he md save me money abd do jngs like charge the battery and save money where he could. I recived a call to picl the car up on friday the 22nd and it was running when i got there he told me the bill was 1550 i was surpjrised as i tomd him nothjng over 1000. Well it was late j jad tk now not get a motel room for the weekend i had been staying at the motel 6 i told him thks leaves me 12 bucks an d a long weekend im gonnahave to return to ****** as j cant afford ti stay i. Town and i was not seeing how I was gojbg to make it but i drove to ****** and the car stoped runn i ng the fuel line had fallen out the fuel pump of when i asked why so much he stated my filter was backwards abd mu fuelpjmp was burnt out and it had sucked ip a gasket and i told him thays funny the gasketwas on to of the pump and the inlet had a screan i din tknow how thay happened as it wasnt plugged in when i dropped it off i ***** he forgot and anyways he did t stay within the budget he didnt shkw me any of the old parts he said he replaced fu ter but why backwards doesn truin it also i belive the fuel pump i nought is still in th e tank and if it was bunrt he refused to show me he also charged me for two fuel pumps and it was not nessary tk replac

      THE CUSTOMER HAD THE *** TOWED IN 05/21/2024 AT 0943 FOR A NO START DIAGNOSIS. THE CUSTOMER STATED HE HAD A BAD BATTERY AND ASKED FOR THE REPLACEMENT TO START DIAGNOSTIC. WE CONFIRMED. THE CUSTOMER ALSO STATED HE HAD A FRIEND WORK ON THE *** WHERE THE **** PUMP AND EXTERNAL INLINE **** FILTER WERE REPLACED. THE CUSTOMER ALSO SAID HOW HARD OF A TIME THE PERSON HAD COMPLETING THE **** THE CUSTOMER ALSO STATED HE HAS A ******* BUDGET AND FOR US TO TRY TO KEEP IT WITHIN THAT. WE ASSURED THE CUSTOMER WE WILL DO THE *** TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY AT THE LOWEST PERMISSIBLE COST. HE CONFIRMED, SIGNED, AND DATED A INTAKE PAPER CONFIRMING.
      THE *** HAS THREE CURRENT DTC:
      P1233- **** PUMP DRIVER MODULE OFFLINE
      P1703- BRAKE SWITCH OUT OF SELF-TEST RANGE
      P0103- **** AIR FLOW SENSOR PERFORMANCE, HIGH VOLTAGE
      WE BEGAN BY FIRST PUTTING **** IN THE *** AS THE **** GAUGE READS EMPTY. WE THEN MOVED FORWARD WITH REMOVING AND REPLACING THE BATTERY. WE THEN INSPECTED THE GROUNDS AND CONFIRMED TO BE INTACT AND TIGHT. DURING INSPECTION WE FOUND THE **** AND RELAY FOR THE **** PUMP TO BE BLOWN AND RECOMMEND REPLACING. AFTER REPLACING NO START. WE INSPECTED THE **** INTERTIA SWITCH AND FOUND THAT TO BE TRIPPED AND A RESET WAS DONE. NO START. WE INSPECTED THE **** PUMP DRIVER MODULE LOCATED NEXT TO THE **** PUMP ASSEMBLY AS IT IS NOT RESPONDING AND FOUND THERE TO BE TWO BROKEN PINS. WE RECOMMEND THE REPLACEMENT. AFTER REPLACEMENT IT IS NOW RESPONDING BUT NO START. WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH DROPPING THE **** TANK. DURING INSPECTION WE FOUND A BROKEN **** LINE THAT SOMEONE REPAIRED BY USING A BROKEN WRITING PEN AS THE CONNECTOR OF TWO HOSES. WE REMOVED THE BROKEN PEN AND REPAIRED THE ***** AFTER INSPECTING THE INLINE **** FILTER WE FOUND IT TO BE INSTALLED BACKWARDS AS THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONAL ARROWS ON THE PART MADE BY THE MANUFACTURER. WE ARE RECOMMENDING THE REPLACEMENT. AFTER REPLACEMENT WE CONFIRMED NO START. AFTER DROPPING THE **** TANK WE FOUND THERE TO BE A BROKEN PORT ON TOP OF THE **** PUMP MODULE. AFTER REMOVING THE **** PUMP SENDING ASSEMBLY WE FOUND THE ***** TO HAVE DROPPED INTO THE **** TANK FROM PREVIOUS INSTALLATION. WE ALSO FOUND THE **** PUMP ASSEMBLY TO BE INSTALLED INCORRECTLY CAUSING THE **** LEVEL ARM TO BE DAMAGED. WE DETERMINED INSTALLATION TO BE WRONG AS THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONAL ARROWS ON THE PART MADE BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THE EXISTING **** TANK MADE BY ***** WE RECOMMEND THE REPLACEMENT. WE COMMUNICATED THE ABOVE TO THE CUSTOMER ON 05/22/2024 AT 11:20 AM AND TOLD HIM BEFORE MOVING FORWARD WITH REPLACING THE **** PUMP, ENGINE AIR FILTER AND POSSIBLE **** AIR FLOW SENSOR THAT THE COST IS GOING TO EXCEED THE ******* BUDGET. HE SAID THAT IS FINE AND THAT HE WILL BE HAPPY TO GET HIS *** BACK AS HE IS STAYING AT A LOCAL HOTEL AND NEEDS IT FOR WORK. HE CONFIRMED REPAIRS AT *******. AFTER THE **** PUMP WAS REPLACED THE *** STARTED BUT THE **** TRIM SYSTEM IS RUNNING LEAN AND THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT MISFIRE. WE MONITORED THE LIVE DATA AND FOUND THE **** AIR FLOW SENSOR TO BE OPERATING INCONSISTENTLY. WE MONITORED THE VOLTAGE AND FOUND IT TO BE OPERATING WITH HIGH VOLTAGE. WE ARE RECOMMENDING THE REPLACEMENT. AFTER REPAIRS THE *** WAS ROAD TESTED AND THE *** IS RUNNING GREAT. THE CUSTOMER CONFIRMED PICKUP BEFORE CLOSING TIME.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      It is not true when i called to check on the progress he said that there was a lot wrong with the car and they were on it though but ibspecificly asked fir the battery to be charged nit replaced and if replaced  maybe a remanifactored battery abd as far as the fuel pump it was on 2 days old and imwhen i bright it in i bstated the fuel pump amwas ib the tank b but wa wasbt sure it was in the right way and there was a fine meshbsock over the fuel pick up nothibgvcoukd ofvwent inside the pump also they b charged me for 2 fuel p u mps the diagnositic was supposed to be 60 if i had work done and  i said ubder a thiusand abd  he didbt cakk till he said itvwas done abd no dicussion ofbgoing over a thousand also no spare part or the parts replaced i never  saw them abd im no longer in town due tobthis abd have been back twice because the fuel lune abd evap problem tgatvwasnyltvfixed

      THE CUSTOMER SIGNED AN INTAKE PAPER WHERE HE SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR THE BATTERY REPLACEMENT. NO MATTER THE AGE OF THE **** PUMP THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED BY THE CUSTOMERS FRIEND; THE **** PUMP WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF IT BEING INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. THE CUSTOMER CONFIRMED. THE CUSTOMER STATED THERE IS A PROTECTIVE MESH PREVENTING FOREIGN MATERIAL FROM ENTERING THE **** PUMP, HE IS CORRECT. BUT I WILL REITERATE: THE GASKET DIDNT GET SUCKED INTO THE **** PUMP- IT WAS ONLY AN OBSERVATION BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE **** PUMP WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY AND THE GASKET WAS INSIDE OF THE **** TANK DURING THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE DIAGNOSTIC IS USUALLY $115.00 UNLESS WORK WAS PREVIOUSLY DONE BY SOMONE ELSE AND WE HAVE TO FIX THEIR PROBLEM. IN THAT CASE THE ***** INCREASES TO ATLEAST $195.00. THIS INFORMATION IS SPECIFICALLY STATED ON THE INTAKE PAPER THE CUSTOMER SIGNED. THE OLD PARTS ARE SAVED UNTIL THE *** IS PICKED UP AFTER SERVICE. THE PARTS WERE SAVED AND THE CUSTOMER NEVER ASKED TO SEE THEM. HE WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN LEAVING OUR FACILITY, HIS *** WAS OPERATING CORRECTLY, ALL MONITORS WERE SET, AND THE PARTS WERE DISPOSED OF.
