I started school with Bellus ********, ** in October 25, 2022. I am a licensed cosmetologist for over 16 years and I wanted to enroll in Bellus to include skincare and since Im licensed, I needed to add to my license skincare/esthetics. I wasnt informed that I needed to take *** courses since Im already licensed, I didnt have to go through the whole course. I was falsely talked into applying for fafsa for the whole course when all I needed was part of it. Bellus hid the fact that since Im Licensed I can take the medi lux class and not waste fafsas money on something irrelevant. Bellus made so much money off of me and the federal grants I got and made me pay almost 600$ out of pocket which I have had applied for schools before but not one school has ever asked me to pay out of pocket. I feel as if they are doing illegal activity with fafsa for money. I was left in class and not paid at Te nation to, so when my day was to be graduated, financial aid didnt meet with me which is customary before a student graduates to go over whats missing and what isnt. I didnt get a meeting but I was told by my educator that I was graduating when I walked in to class. I didnt get any proper treatment and Im missing so many things but they graduated me. This was unfair and also, this place is racist especially educator *****************************, she has caused me a lot of anxiety and this school is money minded not caring how it affects humans. Im a single mom of two girls and I dont have money like this to just throw away. Ive been discriminated against by this school and they do not care about feelings and students success. I have lost money, my healthy mindset and fell into depression and anxiety from being at this school. I have taken a leave of absence because I felt as if I didnt belong. There is a few educators that are supportive, but overall the rest of this company/institution is nothing short of extracting money from the federal loans and individuals to pay out of pocket without any explanation. I have never felt this mistreated and now I cant get my needed paperwork because bellus is more concerned with money they make then the education of individuals and get as much money out as possible from students. They also sent me a 1600$ bill indication its for hours I had missed which is not true. Id like for them to pay me or fafsa back the money they have extracted from me and my family as well as fafsa. Im struggling with my kids and money because of what bellus does with students. Once you start school, they dont care once fafsa goes through. Id like this institution to be audited and looked into. Something is very wrong happening here. A friend of mine was having a medical emergency as well 2 years ago and he couldnt get in touch with anyone in student aid. With his sickness, they never contacted him back but made sure they received money for the time he was out sick and was never contacted back to restart school but they sure got paid by ***** on his behalf and he wasnt even contacted after reaching out because they got paid. My depression and thinking about losing so much money gives me a great amount of anxiety and depression where Im under a doctors care. Please help me and other students being treated unfairly because money is whats important to bellus and something needs to happen about this school and its unprofessional stance.Sincerely,Sholin Dass
