On January 23, 2024 I reached out to Melissa ******* for a couples counseling session via text. Here was her response: "Hi *****! Good to hear from you. Yes I have some session times available next week. For next week I wanted to see if ***** can meet me one on one. With couples it's important you both have equal time and we had one session prior to our couples session without her. Am I ok to email or text her to schedule?Then we can go back to meeting as a couple/group." After ******'s session I paid for all the previous visits on 2/2/24. We then had our scheduled couples counseling session on 2/6/24. Melissa wouldn't let me speak at all. It was clear from the start that this was a guided breakup. I found out later from ****** that in her individual session they strategized how to break up with me and would do it under the guise of us receiving couples counseling. After we broke up I told Melissa twice shortly after that she would need to speak to ****** about paying her last bill. Today when I checked my credit card statement I saw that I was still charged for the 2/6/24 session. I am pretty sure Melissa ******* broke some ethics rules in how this all transpired.
