I purchased an engine for my 2012 Infiniti QX56 from AFTO Auto Parts last September. Upon completion of the job the mechanic tested the engine by attempting to start the vehicle. It immediately failed. I had the mechanic remove it and return to AFTO. They initially made excuses and attempted to dishonor the warranty. Then they agreed to have the *** ******* of **** Repair) inspect the engine to determine the cause of failure and AFTO agreed to honor the warranty policy if the ***'s assessment concluded the engine was faulty before installation. After investigating the *** called me and explained that they believed the engine was faulty when AFTO sold it to me. AFTO then agreed to provide me with a replacement engine of equal or greater value than the original purchase. Now almost a year later they are telling me that they have been unable to find a replacement for me and they only want to refund half my money and give me the rest in store credit. I have no use for store credit at a salvage yard. I need an exact replacement of the engine I bought or all my money refunded along with the $1500 I had to pay the mechanic for labor. This has negatively impacted my life to a sever degree. I have been very patient and diligent in calling them almost daily and even locating several replacement engines that cost approx the same as the one I bought from AFTO. But AFTO has neglected to return my calls for weeks at a time and constantly told me that they were waiting to receive answers from the sellers of the replacements that I or they have located. Now they tell me they don't want to buy the reasonably priced replacement I located because if it's faulty too then they are at am even greater loss. What about the tens thousands I've spent on rental cars and the lost income from having no truck to get to work in for almost a year? I just want a refund or AFTO to purchase the replacement I located for them. Thanks
