I got into contract with western dental and had braces put on in *******, ** on 03/28/2024. Before I had the procedure done I informed them that I would be relocating to **********, ** in May. I asked if there could be a transfer possible. They said that it would be fine. When I got transferred to the ********** facility they said that theyre not affiliated with the contract or services provide in modesto and tried to extort me for extra money. When I refused they sent a message to modesto stating they would not take me as a transfer because I was being difficult. But no one in their right mind would pay more when they have an agreement in place. I know transferred to the ***************** and now they are saying I was not even transferred and cant get health treatment. I would like to get contract voided and moneys returned so that I maybe start a new contract down in bellflower, ca to fix my health issue.Initial Complaint

I have orthodontics with Western Dental & Orthodontics located at ************************************************* ***** for over a year. Furthermore, my child has appointment obligations that are not being met. I am not sure if they are racial profiling or what the cause. **** never pre-book his appointment for the future 6 weeks. The staff always implies that they will contact his guardian (me) and they never contact me. Therefore, I have to contact them and schedule for a date that is passed his 6 weeks. This is not fulfilling the contract obligations and I am mortified to think the staff is racial profiling or being unethical in some form.Initial Complaint

Description of complaint:I've attempted to resolve the issue with Western Dental and was told I had to wait 4 months for the refund. After the 4 months I was told the case was closed by the office manager no explanation given for the refund request closure. I filed a grievance against Western Dental with my insurance provider Humana for providing false information regarding the services rendered. That grievance is still under investigation. I'm requesting a refund in the amount of $3138.00. In August or September of 2022, I paid a down payment of $3,913 for future dental work. After visiting your office for dental cleanings, I decided not to continue working with Western Dental. I was charged for a fluoride treatment amounting to $126.00 that I did not receive. I was charged for 4 separate deep cleaning services and charged at $387.00 each for a total of $1,548.00. Further, I only received the deep cleaning on V2 of her mouth. The other half was standard cleaning.Therefore, I was overcharged. Western Dental charged Humana my insurance provider for a full mouth deep cleaning and told them I returned the next day to have the other half cleaned. Western Dental told me Humana would not approve a full mouth cleaning on the same day so they scheduled my next appointment for 8/31/22. My original appointment on 8/3/22 was the one and only time I had any services preformed by Western Dental. On 8/3/22 I prepaid Western Dental $3913, for future dental work, I never returned therefore I never received any more services I would like a refund. I have been waiting over a year for a refund. In the month of June 2023 they scedual me a rootcanal. Did not prescribe me any pain relief medication I was in agonizing pain. My first appointment for my rootcanal was in July ****. I showed up and they said they canceled my appointment. So I rescheduled then the second appointment they scedual me for was in August 2nd 2023. I was in so much pain. They did the rootcanal on the 2nd still did not send pain medication. My tooth was in so much pain after the rootcanal. I just new something was wrong. So I set another appointment for the 16th. When I went in the decided to give me another rootcanal in the same tooth they did on the 2nd... they said they were going to put a approval in tho our insurance I called to day on the 8/24/2023 they never sent the approval for medical so I can't get my crown. That should have *** sent out on the 8/02/2023. Now my tooth is falling apart after the second rootcanal I'm in so much pain and now I have to wait for medical to approve the crown. They won't let me pay cash... this is the worst experience I have ever had. When I call I just get the run around over and over and over again. I feel I'm going to loose my tooth do to there Unprofessionalism. I can't afford to get a partial tooth. And I feel if they don't take care of this tooth and I lose it. They should be responsible to replace it with a partial. Please help meInitial Complaint

Western dental has sent a debt of $1269 to collections for a product/treatment I never received. Have tried multiple times to resolve issue over western dental customer support and billing department only to be told to take it up with collections, when issue is brought up to collection agency they tell me issue must be resolved with western dental. I was supposed to have received product for treatment over a year ago and all I received was an electric toothbrush whose value was around $100-200, never received mouth guards or medication for mouth guards that they are charging me for. At this point I feel like my credit has been negatively impacted for absolutely no reason when I never received anything that I am being charged for. Didn't get mouth guards, no medication, nothing but a toothbrush. Never received any phone calls from western dental on the matter or emails about it either. I understand I was under monthly contract to pay off these products but why should I pay $1269 when I didn't get what Im paying for? At this time I no longer want the products nor anything to do with western dental moving forward with the exception that they withdraw this claim from collections and close my account so that my credit can begin to be fixed. I do not want the products, do not want to workout a discount or reduction in fee, I do not not need their product I have already been treated elsewhere. In order to resolve this matter I want them to withdraw their claim on my account with collections and close my account from their systems completely.Initial Complaint

Western Dental and Orthodontics **** **********.********, ** ***** I gave western dental a 2nd chance and got braces by them. I have had appointments and the last adjustment was 2/16/23. I have been calling and no one can make me an appt. Im not the only patient. The call center has horrible service as well. They are quick to take payments but for an appt no one can. I dont know how they still have business. All I need is an appt for my braces adjustment and better scheduling. And a discount for waiting too long for braces adjustment.Initial Complaint

My daughter was seen and we entered into a contract for orthodontics in 2018. Within their facility they have different days for general dentistry. The orthodontist requested the general dentist to remove teeth, the dentist removed the wrong teeth. With braces, a patient is to be seen monthly for adjustments, they haven't seen her since June 2022. There is no protocol in place to be seen at another location. I've called repeatedly, for an appointment, but they always tell me they don't have any availability.Initial Complaint

My minor daughter *****************************, age 16 has been an orthodontic patient with Western Dental for the last 18 months. Western Dental has not been fulfilling the obligations that are listed in our contractual agreement. From the initial agreement to the present date, Western Dental has been collecting money monthly for the last 18 months from myself and my insurance company but have not been rendering services including regular maintenance care and appointments for Aubreis braces. When my child goes in for her appointment we are not serviced in a timely manner, wait times from check-in to finish often exceeds 30 mins. to an hour or more. When she is done with her appointment and ask for her next appointment, she is redirected by a staff member which says well call you. That phone call is usually received 8 to 10 weeks and in some cases more than for her next visit. There are times when we have shown up for a scheduled appointment and the staff member tells us that the doctor is not available. The staff is not forth coming with important information that paying customers want to know when complaints are in order. In my opinion Western Dental & Orthodontics located at ********************************************************* is running an unethical fraudulent practice that needs to be investigated immediately.
