      My daughter, ******** ******, had a behind-the-wheel lesson on Thursday, 11/4/21 with ****** ***** (License #I3926-166) , an instructor at All Star Driving School (#3926) During the lesson, the instructor made 3 unplanned, uncommunicated stops with this minor. The first was at an unknown park because the instructor had to use a bathroom and the car was overheating. The minor was left unattended, while some "scary dude" (her words) who happened to be at the park solicited her through the car window. The instructor then had them walk around the park to let the car cool down. The second stop was at the driving school location to switch vehicles, as the first car was not "learn" ready and overheating. The replacement second vehicle was out of gas, also not "learn" ready. So the third stop was at a gas station to fuel the new vehicle and the instructor also wanted to get ice cream. The instructor left my daughter unattended at the pump, while she got ice cream. The instructor offered my daughter ice cream, unaware of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. The instructor was early to the lesson, and possibly could have used this time to take care of personal needs or car swapping. The lesson ended at the 2-hour mark, but there was never two hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, as per the agreement. Nevertheless and under perjury, ****** ***** signed off that the required time had been fulfilled. None of the unplanned stops were ever communicated with parents, during or after the lesson. Complaint will be filed with DMV. Representative of All Star Driving School, ******** ***** (sp), called back on 11/9 regarding a complaint made on 11/8. After sharing concerns about the lack of communication, lack of instruction, unplanned stops in unknown locations, and shorted time, ******** stated he was "intimidated" and uncomfortable with our concerns, and he hung up the phone. I paid $280 to have my daughter taken to a strange park, hung up on when we asked about it.

      Business response

      To whom it may concern;

      Mr. *** claims are untrue. His step-daughter received six hours of instruction as agreed. He called me to explain that he was not happy that the instructor took time to put gas in the car. As he continued to scold me and yell at me he became belligerent and threatened me a couple of times. I felt that the conversation was leading nowhere but to more insults and more threats. I do not with to continue this ridiculous claim and ask that you do not contact me regarding this matter. Thank you.

      Customer response

       I am rejecting this response because:

      The response by All Star Driving School is not truthful. This claim is for Oralia ****** regarding her daughter ******** ******, not Mr. ***. ******** was left in a car alone, at an unknown park, while a strange man solicited her through the window. The driving instructor was not present, not in sight. At one point, the instructor had her walking around the park. How could the 6-hours of drive time have been completed? And did she stop for gas, or did the instructor stop for ice cream?

      When Mr. *** called, he made zero threats, aside from pursuing legal action, which this is a part of. And zero insults. Over the phone, the representative of All Star Driving School agreed that the 6-hour time could not have occurred and that leaving her alone in strange locations was unacceptable, but offered no form of compensation or apology to Oralia or ******** ******. As for being belligerent, at no point did Mr. *** "yell",  it was actually the driving school who hung up mid-conversation. We would like All Star Driving School to please articulate the threats and insults made.

      Please see attached text between minor and parent the day of the driving lesson. Indicates 3 unplanned stops were made, the 6 hours of instruction are for "behind the wheel", not stopped. Please post this complaint on your website.
