I received a phone call from college prep, stating my daughter signed up for help for ACT preparation through school. Unfortunately, they caught me on a night that I could not process and figure out this was more of a scam. They told me I could have their help for 30 days without charge after that we would be charged. I was also told they would be calling to remind us when it was time to send in the DVDs or if we need any other help or questions. That never happened. Unfortunately I was also charge the money the day of the phone call not 30 days later. I have called and left messages. I have not received any help in resolution of this. I am not sure what else to do. At this point to get my money back the DVDs were sent back and they will not call me back. I am unfortunately only able to leave messages. I received a call from a company who knew my sons name and that he would be taking the SAT’s soon. This was in the fall of 2021. We accepted their offer of a package to assist with preparing for these tests. They claimed you could return the items within 30 days and get your money back. I spoke to someone on the phone on 11/15/21 and explained that the terrible dvds that were sent were not helpful and that I would be returning them in the 30 day window and expected a refund. I shipped them back to the address they indicated which was SAT/ACT PREPARATION PO BOX #**** Upland, CA *****. I called today because I never got reimbursed the 285.00 dollars. When I spoke to them, they claim they never received the box and I needed to give them a tracking number, which I don’t have. This is a total scam and I’m embarrassed that I fell for it. I would like to know how I can get my money back? Thank you!Initial Complaint

I received a call on or about August 5th from someone named *****. She knew my daughter's name and where she attended high school, and that she would be taking the ACT soon. She offered to send me study materials for a 30 day trial, and I would receive a call 30 days to see how we liked it and instructions for sending it back, if we weren't pleased. If I did not return them, I would be charged $220.87. When I received them, I had a weird feeling, so we never opened it. Upon receiving my credit card bill, I had been charged the day of our phone call. I have called repeatedly, and no answer. My confirmation number was *****.
