I bought an optic delivered by mail from turners.On receipt I found the optic was clearly used, the previous owner had mis-installed the batteries. The mis-installed batteries were behind a screwed on battery ********, this item had been returned as faulty and then turners resold it to me as new without checking or testing the item.Some businesses do sell untested seconds, but if you're doing so then it should be noted on the item and priced accordingly.Initial Complaint

The sales rep asked me to pay ***** on a zero balance. I tried to speak with a supervisor, and ****** laughed at me. I tried to speak to ************** and he refused to help, and refused to allow me to speak to another supervisor. The company admitted to calling customers before any policy changes yet refused to call me. I brought this up. ************ said oh well. I ask for a refund, they said they will keep 30% of my money. This was Friday June 5, 2024. I have been calling headquarters since June 8, 2024. They do not call me back. They have caller ID and they pick the phone up and hang it up. There is no realistic reason to keep 30% of my money. I have until June 13, 2024 to pick up and they are doing everything in their power to commit fraud and steal my money. Turners Outdoorsman is a business that sells camping, fishing and firearms products. I purchased a firearm that was in a display case. I Put a downpayment of $500 down on 11/29/23 and with firearms you wait 10 days for processing. On 12/10/23 I went in, decided I did not want the firearm and cancelled the sale. I was told their policy was to keep the majority of the downpayment for "restocking". I paid for the downpayment on my AMEXcard and receive $31.00 back. The firearm was in-house in a display case. What did they have to restock. When I questioned their charge they advised that was thei policy.Over 90% restocking!. I have filed a dispute also with AMEX. I placed a deposit on a firearm at a home show in Sacramento, CA. I was not told this deposit was for the Stockton, CA location. I spoke with the location several times letting them know I had issues making the drive down to Stockton due to my work schedule. I called today for either a refund or to transfer the sale to the Sacramento, CA location and was told I forfeited my money due the deposit being over a year ago. There was no attempt at customer service, returning my money, or providing a store refund. There is also no corporate contact information or ability to email them through their website. I had to call another location to obtain the corporate number. When called, there is no ability to get through to anyone at the company. This company needs to be shut down for theft.Initial Complaint

On 11/26/2022 I paid in full for a Kimber pistol from Turner's Outdoors in Bakersfield, Ca. that was on sale. During the ten day wait, I received an unsigned letter from the DOJ that my transaction was delayed 30 days for some unspecified and vague reason. (This is the third time in two years that the DOJ has done this to me, and they have never found a reason to halt the sale.) So, on 12/26/22 I received a phone call from Turner's, stating the DOJ delay had expired without finding anything wrong, but Turner's was electing to cancel the sale anyway and would be refunding my money LESS the $44.70 DROS fee. I said since it was Turner's choice to terminate the sale, without legal cause, why should I have to be out the $44.70? They said something about liability and corporate policy and were not moved by my argument. Then, I went to their facility on the same day and asked for my refund. They refused, saying that any amount of $500.00 and over had to be mailed to me in a check from corporate. So, now they've had use of almost $1,300.00 of my money for over 30 days and I don't know when I will be receiving my refund. The interest on my money would probably exceed the $44.70 by the time I get my refund. These people are unfair to put it lightly and don't deserve anyone's business.Initial Complaint

I sold a Nighthawk GRP Recon for $4,000 over a month ago and I have yet to receive my check. Your business takes up to six months to receive a check when the client is supposed to receive it in 2 weeks. The amount of money may be chump change to you but it is very significant to a lot of people. Enough is enough. 11/09/2016 I spent $2343.49 to order a rifle from West Covina store of Turner’s outdoorsman. But my request was denied by DOJ. A friend of mine agreed to purchase that. But Turner’s shop has been sold it . Eventually they agreed give me refund $1640.44 via check and $703.05 as credit for weapon purchase from store. I moved to another city later and never received any check from Turner’s. This February I went to the store asked refund. They said the check has mailed to me in 2016. I ask them showing evidence but they denied. I promise I never received that check.Business Response

8/9/22 The magazine jam going in. I don't feel safe with this gun being repaired. I never fired this gun this gun is supposed to new.I would like a refund or a new gun.Business Response
