            These guys are con artist hiding behind their Chapel. I actually sued them to get my money back due to Covid and lost in court because the receipt they gave me said "donation" on it. If you want to schedule your wedding there, I suggest you ask for a receipt that states "this is not a donation" it is for rental of their facility. Please check them out thoroughly, they have the exact complaint on this site BBB. Just do your homework.

            We do not rent our church out. We are a fully functioning church that has weddings in addition to our Sunday ministry. Mr. Thompson sited reasons for not wanting to have his wedding here related to Covid restrictions. We do not have restrictions now and the judge that presided over our court hearing agreed that there was no reason to refund their money. They could have had a beautiful wedding at Wayfarers Chapel and decided not to for no real reason. There is no "con" here.

            The con is they neglect to inform people its a contribution/donation. Our initial plan was to have the wedding was scheduled on March 28, 2020. Due to Covid we were advised by the Chapel all guest would have to wear a mask and we were limited to the number of people that could attend. We made the decision to delay the wedding for a year which the Chapel agreed with and gave us dates that were available. Again, a few months before the wedding the Chapel sent out another list of restrictions due to Covid which had limitations we could not live with and asked for a refund and got married with the justice of the piece.

            After they said no, I took them to small Claims court and the court made the decision since the receipt they give everyone say's "contribution" the judge ruled in their favor.

            Its a beautiful place to have a wedding and we were disappointed we couldn't get married there. Just a warning......if you give them money ask for a receipt that does not state its a contribution/donation.
