After getting quotes from larger, better known solar companies, I was referred to Group IV by a home improvement company (we are remodeling our kitchen) because I was complaining about the high quotes that these other solar companies were giving me. These companies know we would receive Federal and State tax credits, so they tap in on your tax credits by charging 40% more money in their quote to the install solar. Then, they show the tax credits as a discount in their quote, thus giving the customer a feeling it's a fair price. I can say that Group IV installed the same equipment, for 30% less than my second lowest bid, and leaving my tax credits out of the final invoice. What we received from Group IV is the same brands of equipment, so it is a comparable quote and scope of work. No short selling product or panel count for what they installed! Research the Group IV web site and read the information provided by the owner. ******* has an extensive and passionate background in solar and he is not a salesman making commission, including a profit for the company that they work for. He is the owner of the company and charges a fair price. As a consumer, do your homework and don't follow what your neighbors are doing. I feel that Group IV, and *******, will be in business for years to come. Good luck finding your sales rep from ***** Electric or what ever other company you choose when you need support. They will have moved on, and the customer service phone call will seem/be useless. ******* and everyone at Group IV was professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and fair. I highly recommend them for your solar needs! They believe in long term relationships.
