I had a recent experience there at Axner excavating I would like to share in order to warn others. On July 13 I picked up a mixing trailer with one and three-quarter yards of concrete. There was a large amount of old concrete stuck to the paddles inside the cart. The man operating the concrete plant mixed the load dry as he said he was nervous about it spilling. It was a hot day and my water pressure was not very good at the job site. I did my best to clean it out but since you have to sign that you get charged if you were later than two hours after leaving I hurried back to the plant. I took a digging bar with me and planned to clean out the rest of any remaining material that couldnt be sprayed out at the plant myself. The operator said no problem and that he would take care of everything and that it wasnt necessary to have my help. Initially in the office I was told I had to pay a $300 fee to clean out the machine. The man at the desk whose name is ***** called the plant operator when I balked at this high price. The plant operator advised that I be charged $76 and change which I then agreed to. I had ordered a second load but given the conditions of the day we decided to wait for another time so he was supposed to refund me for the second load that I did not take. ***** did in fact tell me he had credited that amount. A week later I reviewed my credit card statement and found that there was no credit. When I called for an explanation I found out they had in fact charged me the obscene $300 charge plus other fees because they had to chip the concrete out. Had I been informed correctly I wouldve gone back there and finished cleaning it out myself. Today even the supervisor wouldnt budge and insisted that they always send the trailers out clean with no concrete in them and that I shouldve known that they were charging me the $300+ even though they said they werent. Not fair! Beware before doing business with them. Take pictures first!
