Hello,I entered a membership contract at the Redwood City Massage Envy that started on 23Oct2021 for one year with the first deduction made on 23Nov2021. I am relocating to ************* and contacted the facility on how to cancel my membership. I was informed that I need to pay 2 x $80 to end the contract. However, there is no information in the contract on a cancelation fee. I asked where the information relating to cancelations was noted and told it is not in the contracts, but is policy. I asked for a copy of the policy to be sent to my email (this has not been provided to date).I contacted the Massage Envy HQ in ******* via their customer service email and was informed that while being the *** they couldn't do anything as it was a franchise-related item. They indicated that they forwarded my email back to the Redwood City branch to deal with (to date no contact has occurred).I want the contract canceled before leaving ********** on 5th Oct. I am willing to pay a fair cancelation fee, but not one that is not detailed and clearly stated in writing in the contract or a written policy. Please can you assist me as this company is avoiding communication and due diligence and I would suggest reasonable cancelation.Thank you.

I have a Massage Envy membership that provides me one massage a month. When I don't use a month it is credited for future use. As of May 3, 2021, I have 13 unused credits totally $975. Massage Envy changed their membership rules which I did not agree with when I originally signed my membership contact. Massage Envy is unlawfully asking members for their personal medical information and practicing medicine without a license by taking members temperature and requiring members to wear a medical device on their face. Since I did not agree to this unlawful practice I have asked the owner, ***** (Wenge) ***** to prove to me she has the right to add these new rules and policies or provide me with a refund. The owner has refused to respond to my letters. As you know, the ********** ********** of ****** ***** has issued guidance for the use of face coverings. Guidance is not law. There is no law requiring anyone to wear a medical device on their face in **********. Massage Envy has no right to require my personal medical information to get a massage. It did not require any of this in the past, If they did I would not have agreed. Massage Envy cannot enforce policies that violate laws. Massage Envy is in violation of BPC **** and numerous other laws that I have clearly explained in my letters but I have still not received a refund. They refuse to let me use my membership so it seems they would just refund my unused credits. Keeping my money and not letting me use the facility is stealing. After all the certified mailings as of 12/6/21 she now owes me $1,014.75.
