On 3/11/23, my son ******* was preparing to move from ********** to *********. where I live and was shipping 5 boxes to himself to arrive before him. One of which was a custom built desktop computer, valued at over $2000, not including the software, years of documents, gaming and personal information he had stored on it. The other 4 packages were boxed by him and the computer was unboxed and handed to the UPS store manager (****) who was to pack and ship it from the store herself. My son paid extra for that special packing and insurance because it was a high dollar item. All of the packages eventually arrived on time except for the computer and since then, we have been receiving no answers from the store of the location of this computer. **** states she holds documents that states a *** driver signed paperwork the day he picked it up from her store though she refuses to offer a copy of it. ***.com states a shipping label was created but the package was never received by ***. *** cust. service tells us the same thing in numerous calls and always refers us back to that store for more information and/or to file a claim. So far, we have no further information. We have called **** several times for updates and have been offered many excuses but no resolution. Various websites offer low customer review scores for this location and shady business practices and I wonder if we have reason to be concerned that the computer has been mishandled or even damaged/lost/stolen. This evening we contacted *** Corporate who advised that their dispatch team would make contact with the shipping location and call us back within the hour but again, we have heard nothing more from them. We have even contacted the local police for advice. We don't know what else we can do. The money/claim is not an issue. Even if the computer is damaged, we would still like to have it returned to us.
