On 3/2/24 We purchased/pumped about $50 of gas from this arco ampm gas station in ***** **. almost immediately after doing so my car wouldnt start normally. After struggling to turn on we luckily were able to get it to start temporarily. Not running smoothly as normal it ran just enough to get it back home. Once in my drive way we turned the car off and attempted to turn it on again which failed. Due to this we then sought advice and had to turn our car over to ************ for repair. He confirmed it was a fuel pump issue. He started with some repairs. The mechanic then had to open up the cars fuel tank to do further repairs. The mechanic was shocked to find our fuel tank was filled with large amount of water mixed with small amount of gasoline. He asked where was the last time we fueled or filled our tank of gas because instead of getting high quality gasoline we were given water! And in result was the cause of my car not starting and caused major fuel pump and engine damage resulting in major timely and expensive repairs. Our complaint is against arco ampm gas station for selling contaminated gasoline and are seeking further assistance with this and to help cover the cost for this unexpected and expensive car repair that we have had to pay for out of pocket only after purchasing unknowingly arco ampm contaminated gas. The below complaint is in regards to the contaminated gas we received from the terminal on March 2nd. Several customers experienced car troubles after filling up. Following ARCO company protocol for gas quality concerns, affected customers were directed to contact ARCO and file a claim. ARCO is managing any necessary repairs for the affected vehicles.
