I ordered a kitten to be delivered this past Friday, 4/15/22, it was rescheduled for Saturday, 4/16/22, which I didn't find out until late that Friday night after asking when was the kitten going to be delivered to my home. I paid $700 for the kitten. Saturday morning, the kitten breeder said I need to pay $1600 to rent a crate for the kitten because their crate was not accepted. I supposedly was going to get 95% refund of the crate rental fee upon delivery, but I didn't feel comfortable with this last minute charge. It was unprofessional and a lot of money that was not included in the original fee. I got an email from the animal carrier and a phone call. There were typos in the carrier email and I didn't feel that finding out about this extra fee within hours of the delivery was acceptable and it felt like a scam. The breeders said that I could get my refund through Zelle, but as of 4/18/22, I have not received it. I repeatedly reached out to them via email and text and they are not longer responding. The $700 kitten cost was $500 for the kitten and $200 for delivery fee. I text that number to request another cat, and now they are saying the cat is in Texas, not California, so I am even more concerned that they are running a scam.
