Remind Construction was paid to paint inside my home, while I painted the outside. While on the roof, I heard talking on the phone, inappropriate Spanish language, and loud music. At first, it didn’t bother me. However, we agreed on replacing hardware (knobs and hinges) to black, and I asked them to be sure and remove switch plates to completely paint the walls. They were taping them off, which I considered poor workmanship. The contractor stated, “Don’t worry, that is all touch-up.” When I returned to my house, the contractor had replaced my working knobs with keyed locks! On all nine doors, I had different keys to use. This scared me, as I realized that the contractor did not know what was appropriate for a home. He stated that it was no problem, but just needed to place an order and get new ones. At the end of the job, they were making mistakes and damages were occurring in my home (vanity door torn off, hinges bent, poop in the toilet, with water line missing). The contractor replaced my keyed locks with blank pull knobs, which was very frustrating! The bathroom doors (and all others) could not be locked! Imagine selling a home that you cannot lock the bedroom or bathroom doors when you need privacy. Again, the contractor stated, “no problem, I will replace them. I think I know what you mean.” I had to explain to the contractor how a bathroom door knob works. Unbelievable! Just before this event, I had asked them to glaze a second tub, because the first one they did looked nice, and I wanted them to be the same. The contractor left on the old metal, for old sliders, and painted around the junk. OMG! He needed to fix that issue as well, but the rushed final result was not completed professionally like the other one in the master. They left without final approval, and said that they were finished. My home is not finished, and I had to ask them both to never enter my home again. Upon review of their service (on Yelp), the contractor threatened me by text and told me to take the review down or he would sue me for defamation. Another client of theirs contacted me and said she was also threatened with a lawsuit. The contractor also threatened to call my employer and tell them I was dunk all the time at my home, which is untrue and completely odd. Remmi Construction began quickly and left quickly, without final approval. Unprofessional contractor who threatens you if you don’t post a good review. Makes me believe that his other 5 star reviews may have been manipulated. I now have cameras outside because (I believe) they are vindictive. Stay away!

I do not know why so much racism and discrimination towards us, the work was finished and we would only have to change the lock doors for the third time because you never said how you wanted them, the bathroom hardware had been left because you were going to put the old door back and as soon you told me that We go and fixed it. You don't have the right to blame us for things we didn't do because there were more people working there. I have the contract and what is written is what was done to you, photos and videos of the finished work. Your photos you posted are before we finish, never threaten you I just said I'll start a defamation court case and I will. If you didn't like my work, why did you let me finish? This is exactly how people are to take advantage of and take jobs for free.

This contractor should not be allowed to provide service with a license. He does not understand basic building codes, and blamed me for not being specific. When I asked him to switch the chrome for black, the same style knobs should have been put on. Again, he put on locked keys, meaning nine different keys for the inside of a home! He said, you did not specify. His work was only semi-completed because I continued to remind him of his errors. Even if I did explain, he did not fully understand. He then blamed it on me. Online he stated that I was “drunk as usual.” Who talks like that? Such unprofessional behavior, he became a threat to my home and my security. He blamed me for being racist, because he was yelling curse words in Spanish, while on the phone, inside my house. I am appalled at his business having been available for contract. He stated I did not pay him, which is not true. I even paid him extra, as I needed him to finish quickly, and stop making mistakes. I have receipts for 6500, but I paid him 6600. He owes me money because, 1) he did not finish hardware in kitchen (he was behind), 2) never finished the door knobs because he made three very costly mistakes, 3) switch plates were not placed back on the walls and paint was not completely finished, 4) popcorn ceiling was removed but the paint was not completed (can easily see holidays, and 5) he left the job without final approval. Therefore, I do not want them back in my home, but Remmi Construction stole my money. They owe me 750-1000 back. I explained this to him many times, but he continued to say he finished and I loved his work. Unacceptable. If possible, please support me in retrieving my money, so I can finish the job he did not complete.
