    BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning issues with catering services. Consumers are indicating the company offers catering services for events. When a consumer books a catering service they are asked for a portion of the balance up front but are required to pay the full balance before the event. Consumers pay the balance and on the day of the event the company never shows up. Company will not respond to phone calls and some consumers indicate being blocked from calls and messaging by the company. When they request a refund the company tells them they will need to wait 3 to 5 days in some cases and in others 3 to 10 days. On January 23, 2023 BBB notified the business of our concerns and requested their voluntary cooperation in eliminating the pattern of consumer complaints. As of today, the business has not responded to our request.

      The transaction to place via Zelle for a deposit with a catering company on September 13, 2023 TO insure date od service. The company was supposed to provide 1 churro cart and one 1 coffee cart.The nature of the dispute is that I was scammed, I went to their YELP site and there we're several other people with the same issue of paying for services and or being ignored. I've tried to email and contact them over 2 weeks. The invoice number #BMZRC0000000033

      Contracted services with ***** from Churros-N-Cream catering .Found instagram account and verified business website and saw ***** and ****** location. Felt business to be legit . I continued to have correspondence with ***** than advised new contact to be ******* after new reported ***** to be arrested on charges of sexual assault of potentiometer workers. Made 3 separate payments for a total of $1013.87 . Day of event 5/20/2023 my wedding no services were rendered and no contact to company was successful. have not been able to contact company , have tried number listed on catering website. ***** and ****** location could only take my name and phone number and advised that manager is out of office and will need to call me back. I have contact my bank and are trying to get back my money

      We ordered from Churros-N-Cream catering side of the business 2 months ago for an event in April 2023. We were told they need two deposits to attend our event. We paid them the first deposit via credit card for 472.94 in early March, and the 2nd deposit they asked us to Zelle of 472.94 on March 27th, 2023. The company proceeded to not show up to the event as promised, and then when I reached out for a refund, they proceeded to ignore my calls and texts. After doing some more digging, their yelp is riddled with similar stories. Proof of that is here: ******************************************************************** They appear to take deposits from customers without any intention of showing up. While disputing the 2nd charge with my bank, they told me there is nothing they can do since it was a Zelle Transfer (Which I'm assuming the Catering company is aware of since they asked for the money that way.) I would love to get my money back, but I'm not sure if that's possible. Regardless, I wanted to send this info to you to hopefully help future people not get scammed by this fraudulent company. Please feel free to contact me if there is any more info I can provide.

      Date of initial payment/transaction 01/19/2023 Deposit $500 04/10/2023 Deposit $395.97 4/22/2023 Final deposit $395.97 Total paid $1291.95 The business was committed to provide catering services for my event on Saturday, May 6, 2023, per signed contract. The business failed to show up to the event and has not responded to any of my communication regarding this incident. I attempted to send text messages, calling direct contact, ***** **** *******, the owner’s son, and calling their store front in *********, CA. Still, no response. The business has yet to attempt to resolve this and provide me with a full refund. The latest invoice number is **********. I am unable to resolve this through my ***** bank account due to payments being made via zelle. I have included screen shots of our text messages, including direct messages from their official business page on Instagram.

      Hi June 2022 we hired this company to cater my sons graduation party. I gave them a 190.31 deposit. The company did not show up nor did they call to say they could not make it. I’ve tried calling several times over 6 months for a refund on my deposit. It has been met with rudeness, saying they will send the money and hanging up on me. I would simply like my deposit back.

      On September 14th I paid a deposit of $154.42 via Zelle for churros catering at my daughter’s 2nd birthday party on 11/5. I reached out to the owner “*****” the day before my event to make sure everything was set and he confirmed that it was. He never showed up the next day, I called him and texted him and he never responded. A few days later, I went on the FB page for the mom’s group in my area to see if anyone had a similar experience and sure enough, many had. Others shared that they are mother and son scammers who scam people by booking catering gigs, taking deposits or full payment and then never showing up

      I hired this company for my wedding event I gave a deposit to save my date. They only took my money they don't answer to my calls text or instagram I want a refund we work so hard for someone just to keep our money after I went to reviews they have done this to several other people THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

      On August 9th I contacted business for a catering on October 1st. I sent $175 deposit via Zelle. On August 26th I received a text asking for the balance. I immediately paid the balance of $505.63. The day before the party I text to confirm and did not hear back. I asked my husband to call with his phone and ***** answered and confirmed. Day of the party they were a no show. We called, text and even made several calls to their store front with no avail. The next day I text him and he responds with “reversal is processing and you should receive your refund within 3-5 business days”. Right after texting him that he didn’t hold up his end of the contract and I was not obligated to wait the 3-5 days since I made an instant payment he proceeds to tell me “5-10 business days”. Today I found out he has blocked me from texting or calling. I am fuming now because come to find out this is “business as usual” for them.
