I hired Wilner & O’Reily in October of 2022 to handle a K-1 vis denial case and paid $2500. From the beginning there were delays, ciaos and misinformation. It would take weeks for them to contact me, and I had to be chasing them with my inquiries. For a whole month they did not ask for any information while I went through 3 agents. They were not familiar with this case and how to proceed, we wasted months just finding out what was needed through my own efforts. The agents were either not knowledgeable or they were confrontational. I had to dely my case due to some unseen problems, and they wanted more money. On April 5 I demanded an explanation and an itemized list of charges against the retainer. As per section 5 of the agreement, Discharges and withdrawals, they were supposed to provide the charges in approximately 30 days. 5. DISCHARGE AND WITHDRAWAL. Client may discharge Attorney at any time. Attorney may withdraw from representing Client at any time. In the event that Attorney or client is discharged prior to the completion of legal services and client requests a refund and/or accounting of fees, client will be provided the same within a reasonable time (approximately 30 days). Time spent (fees) on your case will be calculated on an hourly basis.. the current enclosed rate sheet. The hourly rate billed varies per Attorney and the Attorney assigned to your case and corresponding rate is in our sole discretion. You will be entitled to a refund of the difference of time spent and money paid.. Nothing has been provided On Apr 7, I asked Mr. Kelly to give me a partial refund since I was never happy with the service, and he agreed. But nothing has been done! Wilner & O’Reily is an unprofessional and unorganized law firm, and they should not have taken on this case without having the expertise to handle it. They should be stopped from misleading people, specially the uneducated and unexperienced people that think they have hired experts to help them.
