I DO NOT TRUST THIS OWNER/BUSINESS. If I could rate this person (Brendon)/firm (Orangecrest Landscaping & Maintenance) a zero, I would. Based on the recommendation of a trusted friend, I recently contacted Brendon for an artificial turf replacement job at my home. He sent a person named Ruben to provide me with an estimate. I understood that Ruben worked for Brendon. In every communication, when Brendon made any comments about Ruben, it was in the context of them working together (e.g., a text in which Brendon confirmed that Ruben had provided me with "our best price"). Ruben completed the job and it looks bad. There are multiple seams visible and it looks as though he did the job using a patchwork of odds-and-ends instead of rolls. My original artifical turf in the same area looked great after installation, with no seams obvious/visible. I initially worked with Ruben to address this, but decided that I needed to communicate directly with Brendon, because this was his job. Brendon informed me that Ruben does not work for him; that he (Brendon) was too busy to handle my job, and so handed it off to Ruben; and that therefore this is all between Ruben and me. I was shocked (and I still am) at his cavalier attitude about a job I paids thousands of dollars for. I went with Brendon on this job without bothering to gather quotes because my friend assured me that I could trust Brendon and his work. My friend is also shocked by how this has been handled. If Brendon had just been open and honest with me about being too busy, and about Ruben not being his employee, then I would have gathered quotes and checked references on other turf installers. I am continuing to work with Ruben to try and get my yard right. But I will never again do any business with Brandon or his business(es). I do not trust him to be open and honest.
