Cal Lawyer had glowing reviews. I contacted them and retained them 1/25/22 for eviction. I was mailed multiple forms which I served to the tenants. I was told to accept no money from the tenants as that would void any eviction efforts. I received a 18 month backpayment from rental assistance program 211 on 9/2022. I was told because I accepted that payment I would need to restart the process and pay retainer fees, court fees, service of forms fees all over again. The tenants abounded the house in 9/2022. The locks had been removed from the house and it was not secure. A police report was made and I replaced all locks. The court order to evict was never gotten. I am requesting a refund for services not rendered. I have 1 rental home and sought this company out to walk me through this process of eviction. I was provided with the same papers over and over again, 3 days or quit, 24 hour notice to enter,breach of rental contract ect. Nothing happened until the renters abandoned the home and left 34k plus worth of damages. I an requesting a refund as services paid for were never received. I have called about 10 times over 60 days requesting refund. The answer is always the same ( in court, out to lunch, not in the office, I will leave a message for someone to return your call ect) never to receive a call or get a call saying they will investigate and get back to me.Business response

We have processed two checks for Mr. ******** ****** #**** dated 2/2/2023 in the amount of $100.00 and #2129 dated 2/15/2023 in the amount of $900.00.
Correspondence was sent to Ms. ****** this afternoon regarding the refunds.

I was told I would receive a 900.00 check in addition to the 100.00 check I already have. I am still waiting for the 900.00 check as of todayBusiness response
