      Rented some party supplies from this company: 3 heaters and 32 foldable chairs. Delivery was made on time, which was 1 day prior to event. I had asked the company to send me instructions on how to work the heaters and I did not receive the instructions. I called the company on the day of the event, Saturday, 10/21 asking for the instructions. They finally sent them. I was able to turn on 2 of the heaters and the 3rd one was not functional. When I tried contacting them again on Saturday, 10 min after receiving the instructions - I was ghosted the whole night. We were left with 1 non-functional heater. I spoke to the manager on Monday. She stated they did text me the instructions on Friday, at 5:26pm...24 minutes prior to closing. But it turns out it was sent to the wrong #. She said "it was sent by text to the # on file." Yet, I had been texting with the customer representative prior with my contact #. The manager took no ownership, nor did she apologize for the non-functioning heater. She basically stated that it was my fault as I did not call them back for not receiving the instructions on Friday. Regrets and learning points: 1. Don't pay for the rental units until you make sure they are functional upon delivery. 2. Do not assume units work when renting them out and have the delivery person demonstrate the functionality of the units. I was not home when items were delivered. My wife had an event at home when the delivery was made. She did not have them demonstrate functionality as she needed to tend to her guests/event. The manager states this is not routine because these are "household items and everyone should know how to use them, so we stopped showing customers functionality on delivery date." 3. Will not be renting from this place again. Not because of the non-functioning unit...this did not bother me. It was the response of the manager, who had poor customer service. Her employee had better manners than she did and was more sympathetic.
