We hired ******************************************* to conduct a virtual whiskey tasting on Wednesday, 2/15/23. The vendor was supposed to supply 78 whiskey kits and an expert to conduct the tasting via Zoom. We worked with the vendor monthly and there is no formalized contract in place. On Wednesday, 2/8/23 we were informed by our contact ***************************** that the whiskey tasting kit shipment had been lost and the entire pallet was no where to be found. We asked for a resolution, but the one presented (sending one bottle) would not work for the event marketed by our team. We requested a refund and this was agreed to by the vendor and we've gotten the refund reflected on our credit card statement (screenshots attached). On Friday, 2/17/23, the ******************************************* CEO, ***************, called me and was very unpleasant and hostile. He stated the 78 whiskey kits were recovered and we'd need to pay for them ASAP. I have an email stating that we would not be held liable, and the event has past, so I'm not sure how he believes this is something we would have to take ownership of. I have attached the email correspondence noting the agreed upon refund and what *************** sent to us on Friday, with the reply my Legal team drafted for me to send. He's being very belligerent and we'd just like to move on, and end the relationship with the vendor with no further contact. I understand the whiskey kits were recovered and found, but they are of no use to us at this point in time and a resolution was already agreed upon with action taken.
