In September of 2022 we bought our ******* Palisade 2020. October 29 ***** went to ***************** to add a rack to top of my Palisade where ******* confirmed we had no leaks. On August 28, 2023 I got my first oil change as it was over due. I went to ********* Firestone, after they looked at my car, they told me I needed an oil change, front and rear brakes and all new tires. I scheduled an appointment to change the brakes but went to ******************* for a second opinion. ******************* let me know that in fact I did not need front brakes. So I did not let Firestone do additional work to my car because I no longer trusted them. I wanted to tell you that part because the Firestone in ********* is telling customers they need items fixed on their car when in fact they do not and that is fraud. Firestone ********* did the oil change on August 28, 2023 which cost $102.36. Mind you, there were no leaks prior to going to Firestone. I know that because there were no leaks in our garage or left on my dads driveway, he would tell me right away, also as stated earlier ******* checked for leaks at my last appointment. On August 30th I stopped by my dads house, parked on his driveway and later that day he told me that my ******* was leaking oil. So I went back to Firestone ********* on September 1, 2023 and they redid the oil change and fixed the leak they caused. October 9, 2023 we were driving home from ************* and our battery light came on. We thought that was super weird as we have a new car, we kept driving home and made it to ******** parking lot in ****************. As I was parking the car locked up and gave us a warning that we were about to crash alert(we were not about to crash). So I turned the car off then it wouldn't start. So we had the valet jump the car and it started but wouldn't get out of lock mode. Later we learned that was due to the alternator failing. We checked auto care places and no one had an alternator. We were towed from *************************** to **************, which cost $800. Then we had to take an Lyft from ******* to our home in ********* **, that cost $38.75.October 10, 2023 we had to rent a Hertz vehicle that vehicle was returned on November 9, 2023, the day it was finally fixed, the total cost was $1,238.20.October 12, 2023 Our vehicle was finally looked at, at **************. The ******* technician named **** asked me who did my last oil change. I let him know Firestone. He said there was oil spilt all over the alternator by the last person that did you oil change. The alternator wires are covered in oil which shorted your alternator which shorted your battery. ******* tested for any leaks and there were no leaks, the oil must have been spilt by Firestone as my ******* was only seen by Firestone after ******* had checked for leaks back in 2022.I contacted Firestone and spoke to the manager on October 13, 2023 who stated Firestone was not at fault, without doing any type of investigation. So I made a claim against Firestone that day. October 19, 2023 the claim department sent a supposed neutral technician to ************** to test my car. The claim technician emailed me on Oct 20, 2023 the report and stated the battery was dead and didn't even test the alternator. The technician did not do his diligence. On November 9, 2023 The alternator and battery arrived to ******* and my palisade was fixed by ******* they replaced the battery and alternator which cost $1604.10.

Took my car in to have th ac fixed the first time last month. And **** dollars later was told that the ac will not get that cold because it's an older car (****). I wasn't aware of this fact when I brought it in. Sure enough after it was "fixed" my car was not cooling even just a little bit, so I brought it back to have it looked at again on 8/10. They had it all day and was finally told this time that one of the valves for the ** unit needed to be replaced and could have my car the same day. But later they called because the valve needed to be ordered. Now this was 8/11 Friday. Was not happy that I was left with no car until Monday. Monday is here and my car was still not fixed even with the new valve replacement. I didn't get my car until Tuesday end of day. I understand that they needed to run diagnostics to make sure even with the new replacement valve the ac would generate cold air. It didn't. I also understand after, with everything that was explained to me, by I believe his name is ***, and ******** (last name), my understanding is that I would need to take my old **** car to the dealership to get it fixed because the issue is behind the dashboard and they don't do that at Firestone. Also, they kept repeating how older cars that *** has had, ****s and older, he would strip the ac compressor out because "older" cars just don't cool anymore by the ac. ********************* (service advisor) kept telling me that her daughter's 2006 ***** will not cool as well anymore.I don't agree this should be the premise of telling customers, just so they have an excuse for not being able to fix someone's car. It's demeaning to feel like I wasted my time and money, which ************************** the bucket for our family. I have ************** husband and other family and friends. My obligation will be to pay off the Wheelworks credit card because that is my responsibility but afterwards I will be closing that account and will not be recommending anyone to Firestone any more.
