      CarId order number ******** Order date 11/19/2022 Bought for Christmas. Unwrapped on 12/25/2022, attempted to install and then realized there was damage to taillight. I contacted about damage to CarId , the place from where I purchased, on the same day, December 25th.SPYDER ALT-ON-FF15009-LBLED-BK - Black Fiber Optic LED Tail Lights One of The taillights were damaged I was told they would be sending me return labels and issue the refund and then I was contacted saying the spyder company will not replace or refund my money.

      Spyder Auto does not cover warranty for end users. Spyder covers warranty for vendors. If an item is found to be broken upon arrival a claim must be filed by the vendor. The vendor will not cover broken items once the item is installed or partially installed.

      I bought a set of Spyder�® PRO-JH-CIM15-LB-BK - Black LED DRL Bar Projector Headlights from a distributor (CARid.com) of Spyder products. One of the Headlamps became defected about 6 months after installation. I called them and I was told to record a video and send it to them so they can review it for a replacement decision. After I sent the video of the defected part while under the warranty I was told that Spyder approved the request for replacement in September, they explained to me that I had 20 days to return the defected part or be charged full price for the item. I did not proceed to go through with the return because I would have to take it to a body shop to uninstall/reinstall them and I was not able to find someone that could do it in the time frame given. The shop that installed them could not set up another appointment in time. I finally after about 4 months I was able to find a shop to do it so I gave them a call to go ahead and switch the headlamps. I was told that they would not honor the exchange because it is out of the warranty time frame of December 2021. I could understand not honoring the warranty if I did not have proof of them being defected at the time it was under warranty but they have a video of the item being defected when it was under warranty. I do not think it is right to have proof that a product is defected under warranty and not honor the exchange past the warranty time due to the special circumstances of having them attached to your car and having to get a body shop to put them in and take them out. I am looking for an exchange I didn't want a refund! I would hope they can honor my fair request. Spyder and Myself have the video proof of the defect of the product while under warranty if needed.
