I hired ******** Welding, specifically *************************, to build and install two side gates for my house. One gate required two panels to completely block the opening between the house and backyard fence. I requested that I get black lever handles and double sided keyed deadbolts all with matching keys for both gates. ***** and I agreed on a price and the details. I sent *****, via *****, a payment of $1,467 on Nov 22, 2023, another for $1,467 on Nov 28, 2023 and a final payment of $1,315 on Nov 30, 2023. ***** was relentlessly requesting the final payment even before I had a chance to inspect the gates and installation in the light. Originally silver k**** and deadbolts were installed and I text ***** to which he said he'd come switch them for black which he did but didn't do double sided keyed deadbolts. I notified him and he said he'd look for some. About a month later one of the gates would no longer latch because one of the panels had shifted. Looking into it I noticed that one of the posts on one of the panels wasn't in cement. It was only welded to the fence surrounding my yard. The block wall and fence have been there for 20+ years with no shifting. After weeks of requesting they finally came back and "repaired" the gate by welding two tabs to the panel so the gate catches. The deadbolt and handle latch do not line up with the holes in the jam. The *************** is about a half inch lower than the gate. Now they ignore my requests for a correct repair and ***** has said I need to deal with a guy named ***** who doesn't speak english. They're telling me the wall shifted. I contend that the panel should not have been welded to the wall but only cemented into the ground to allow for possible shifts. The gate on the other side of the house hasn't shifted. If you look at the reviews of this company online you'll notice a similar theme with their unethical behavior. Thank you for your help.
