On Thursday, the man who is working on my car called me and said that the parts would not arrive until Friday, April 19th, and that the struts for my C-250 would cost $400.00. I gave the mechanic $400 to cover the parts. He also mentioned that the fully assembled struts would cost an additional $40.00, which I was informed by the mechanic on Saturday. Today, I called the shop to ask for clarification on the cost and was told that the price for the fully assembled struts would be $155.00 each. When I asked the mechanic for receipts, he gave me worn-out receipts that showed that the amount due was $440 plus *****, which totals to $474.10. The receipt stated that $20.00 was paid by debit card and $220.00 was paid in cash, but it did not state how the remaining $234.10 was paid. Something is not adding up here. I tried to speak to the shop and was advised that I should bring the receipt in for clarification. I don't understand why no one could provide clarification by phone.
