            At the beginning of August we reach out to Salon Guys regarding clarification on the materials used to construct a sink and pedestal. The unit they were advertising looked very nice but twice the price of a unit with a plastic base. We received email confirmation that the base was not plastic and in fact was ceramic. When we received the unit just a couple weeks later we noticed the weight on the pedestal base printed on the outside of the box. As the shipment was strapped to a pallet we called customer service before cutting the straps to confirm the base was ceramic. We were told by customer service that the base was ceramic and it was just hollow. We proceeded to unpack the shipment once the salon was closed for the day. The base is fiberglass. We called the company and stated that we paid a premium for a premium product and did not receive that. They have refused to admit that they gave use the wrong information and left us only the choice of returning the order.

            Buyer Beware. I recently purchased an Icarus 2-1 Face and Hair Steamer from SalonGuys.com and it doesnt work. I contacted customer service and was told to make a video of the unit not working. Then I was told not to use the recommended distilled and purified water but to use tap water which is damaging to use because of the mineral deposits, I was also informed that theres a 25% restock fee and I would be responsible for the return shipping. I purchased this unit in good faith from salon guy.com and I am be on frustrated . Buyer Beware.
