I purchased a treadmill from peloton which took over two months to be delivered on November 12, 2021. Upon arrival of the unit, the person who delivered and assembled it was rude, abrupt and unprofessional. Afterwards I went through the process of activating the unit to no avail. I called their technical support for assistance and they were not able resolve the problem. After a series of trouble shooting attempts over several days, the unit would not load pass 4%. A request was submitted within their system for someone to follow up on resolving the issue. This process of calling trying to get the unit repaired was attempted on several occasions, only to be appeased by canceling two months of the subscription fee and a couple of water bottles and towels.They finally made an appointment five weeks after I had received the treadmill for an out of state technician from Arizona to come repair the unit. They had sent out an additional monitor thinking that was the cause of the problem. Needless to say the technician spent over two hours trying to figure out what the problem was, but was unable to repair it. His final determination was that there was an internal problem with the wiring. We then ask for the unit to be replace due to the defects. Now peloton wants to charge me for another treadmill which they claim will be delivered around the second week in February. I dont see how they can charge me for another unit when the original one was defective. They should be willing to replace the unit without any hesitation. It seems to me that they care more about selling products with defects, than good customer support and service.I felt I had no other choice but to contact the Better Business Bureau for help with resolving this problem so that another potential customer wont have to experience what Ive gone through.I thank you in advance for any help provided with mitigating this problem.
