I have had a recent incidence of theft in *****. I had reported the claim as fraud and the credit union gave me credit. However, after they had finished with their investigation they had revoked the credit leaving me with a negative balance on my account. I called and only to get no help from the credit union. I am absolutely in distraught as I am needing to pay bills and my paycheck is almost equivalent to the credit deducted. Absolutely a horrible experience.

They take over Federal truth in lending contracts, and then fail to uphold them. When you were told by representatives to keep the line of communication open with them and they will work with you, thats false. The rules and regulations are constantly changing by month-to-month or day by day. One day there could be no fees and then the next month your day and youre charged all the fees. They dont know when to charge fees and went to not. The member care department has two individuals that are disrespectful to customers constantly and have been there for over a year. When they get mad or upset, they will transfer you to what they call an escalation line Where apparently a supervisor will get on the phone and purposely position the conversation to where you get upset and then if you say one bad word, he has every right to hang up the phone. This is a very deceitful practice, considering I was just trying to give him information on that payment. Im supposed to make before the payment date.So just remember if youre going to be a member of Golden 1, if you are going to call them for customer service or help expect 2 to 3 days off work so that you can give them an adequate amount of time to be a problem solver. On top of that, *** had my car for over half of my finance term and they frontloaded all of my interest which is called like the form of 72 or 78, Which is something that is supposed to be disclosed in my contract, however, they are the ones that are handling the money in the pavements but told me its on another organization. Thats the reason that Im paying more interest upfront. Last but not least, when you call for help and then they actually tried to help you, they cant even complete their job to the fullest extent because when you call back, the next representative says oh that was not completed.False advertising from beginning to end with this organization

In December of 2023 my car was at Ernies towing in ***** and when I went to get it learned it was repossessed a few days prior , which I didnt receive anything informing me of the repossession. I had never missed or been late on a payment and even made a monthly car payment while it was at the tow yard. When I called golden 1 they said stealth recovery in ******* held it until it would be sent to adesa ******** in ************** and that cost would be $2000 on top of what the original cost to get it from ****** towing was. When I went to pay golden 1 I also asked for a company policy which I was given paper with text so small even a magnifier glass couldnt read it , the texts was so small it was just dots and they didnt have any way to give me a legible copy. When I went to get the car at adesa ******* some items were missing totaling $1000, a custom blue ***************** unicycle worth $750 , an element brand skateboard worth $120 , a new folding camping rocking chair worth $120 and also missing was an 8ft chain , an air compressor and binoculars. I was told at adesa ******** to contact golden 1 to see where my items were and was told stealth recovery in ******* , upon calling they quickly said they didnt have it and they dont take stuff out of cars repossessed , so I called ****** towing in ***** and was told the same. I called golden 1 back to which they were rude about me being upset my car was repossessed without missing any payments and subsequently having $1000 worth of items stolen , I couldnt get adequate help with locating them or why it was repossessed to begin with. Also every time I called the repossession **** at golden 1 was told I had to be alone and not have anyone who could hear the call or even why I didnt get a notification that it had been repossessed at all.

I received an email from my bank stating that my recent transaction was not completed, because I did not have enough funds in my account. I called my bank and they looked into it to see that the merchant that tried to pull money from me was Golden 1 Credit. I had never even heard of this business. From reading all of the reviews and complaints about them, I can see exactly how shady they are. How are you going to try and pull $1100 from one of my accounts when I have never even heard of you? People ****. Thankfully I caught it and my bank was able to block them from trying to get my money.

Subject: Urgent: Unfortunate Experience with GoldenWing Credit UnionDear GoldenWing Credit Union,I write to address a deeply unsatisfactory experience with your institution. Six months after securing my auto loan, I faced financial difficulties post-car accident. Seeking deferment, I was directed to apply in-branch due to my loan's newness. The branch visit, marred by overwhelmed employees, led to a dismissive response despite my urgent need. Subsequently, a denial letter citing application errors heightened my frustration. The ***** number assured a new referral would be emailed. However, no communication followed despite my prompt compliance.Twelve days later, an overdue notice bewildered me. Contacting the bank revealed condescension from the representative in charge, displaying a lack of understanding of my situation. Subsequent interactions were marred by dismissiveness, with a tone and call transfer indicating bias.Communication breakdowns were evident, causing a denial without proper explanation. This irony, coupled with consistent receipt of bills and emails, underscores a disregard for the crucial communication on my deferral. This dissatisfaction prompts my urgent plea for GoldenWing Credit Union to promptly address these issues, ensuring others do not face similar challenges. I trust your attention to this matter will rectify these shortcomings, upholding the institution's reputation.Sincerely,***********************

WARNING: DONT BANK HERE. They will turn your world upside down. In a little over 3 weeks - Disappointed - (****/41n Branch) Opened acct, 3 weeks later accessed it w/my card just to get a ************ gave me $20 which made me not have enough to pay my rent. Waited til Monday to deposit it back into my account & report the issue in which they shrugged it off. A couple days later I received a letter not only was I overdrawn but I also owed a fee for being overdrawn. I went down to the ************* explained that someone deposited a check into my account when the bank realized it was erroneously deposited into the wrong account they and the bank that issued the check requested it be extracted from my account. So in essence it was extracted twice making my account go negative. They stated they would correct it but I would need to pay the fee first I told them your CRAZY this whole thing was the banks error and went back/forth w/her on the issue. Finally they said they would take care of that as well. After everything was complete I went to the teller to close my account out. I reported ********* contacted me in regards to what happened & stated, That would not happen at our bigger branch. No apology, just they wanted me stay with *********** at the main/bigger branch. I told them there crazy both banks are related I will NEVER bank ******** will be warning others. In a little over 3-weeks not only did they turn my life upside down but they were reluctant to fix the issue and wanted me to pay fees on their errors. Id give 0 stars but your not allowed in here to do less than 1. CRAZY experience, DONT bank here. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. & to boot the only thing on the drop down menu in here is Credit Card, doesnt surprise me

We have had several accounts with Golden 1 (G1) for the past 20 years, including checking, savings, equity line of credit and car loans. We had a catastrophic flood recently and the insurance company gave us a check to fix it. Our main bank, ***** Fargo, signed off on the check and then we took it to Golden 1 to deposit. G1 said that they couldn't endorse it; it had to go **********. Nobody in the ********* Blvd @ Highway 99 branch new what to do. We stood there for an hour while they tried to figure it out. The teller (who was the only nice on there) was new and she asked for help from her manager, who clearly had no clue, so deflected onto the the 3-week new employee. The manager had been there for years. They took our check and promptly lost it. Three weeks later, I started to complain up the chain and then they finally found the check. This is a check for tens of thousands of dollars, mind you. They G1 tells me that we can't have the money. I told them we are paying for the repairs and need the money reimburse our cards. They say we need a contract with them and send me the contract to read. The contract states in one part that they will keep any proceeds and in another part says we may get the proceeds back, so total conflict in the language. I refused to sign it until modifications were made. The person assigned to us was very distant and did not return emails or calls. I had to go above his head to get some resolve, but not total resolve. This started in June 2023 and to date we have received approximately 1/4 of the total the insurance company gave us. The loan person is likely too busy getting new loans, so any customer who is not actively applying for a loan (and bringing him commission/bonus $$) is virtually ignored. I plan to close out my accounts and move to another credit union. A few years ago they were good; not sure what happened, but it's a train wreck now.
