  I was scheduled for full mouth teeth extractions and immediate dentures in September 2023. The immediate dentures were not made properly to fit in my mouth because the dentist omitted procedures from my process inorder for the dentures to fit in my mouth such as molding. After all my teeth were extracted, there was 4 sets of dentures made and none of them fit. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and was told I need aveloplasty surgery on my mouth in order for the dentures to fit. At Complete comfort dental, **************************** lied to me several times about my procedure and throughout my procedure about why the dentures didn't fit. He never suggested surgery for me. He offers services he can not fulfill. My procedure says that it may require surgery and he can not perform it. He also denys giving me my exam charts for the work that was performed. I have now lost my job during this process.

  Good Afternoon,

  ******************* came to our office for dentures. She signed an immediate delivery form due to her not wanting to wait for the process of trying dentures in a couple of times before the final is delivered. She was very swollen and teeth were very mobile. She insisted on having immediate dentures with no try ins. She wanted all teeth taken out at once and dentures given to her that day. As you can see, we explained to her that this is not the best way for her to go. She insisted. When impressions are taken over infected and mobile gums, the immediate dentures are extremely challenging and can take up to 18 months to adjust.  

  ******************* was so unhappy with the outcome, she filed with Medi Cal (patient had no copays). Medi cal responded with the report attached attempting to explain to her the process. 

  I had explained the process in detail but the patient was distraught. I decided to see if we could make a new set at no cost to the patient because I was hoping to calm her and get her back to work. I have the final product in my office. Unfortunately, the patient has no lower ridge due to the bone loss and the decay over the many years. 

  I have been understanding in her plight to not want to work until she has her dentures. There has been no wrong doing and I have gone above and beyond to help this patient.  Please read the response from medi cal and let me know if there is any additional information needed. I am not sure what the patient feels will happen by contacting you, but I assure you, all of the information has been given to the patient prior to treatment.
